The best place to work at! ?

The mean woman behind the counter who was not wearing her mask properly would not let me enter the store without one. When my partner handed me a mask (that was pink) she made a rude comment to try to insult me about the "pink mask". Let me help. The Mask Mandate, is not a law, you can't make people wear one. No government can force you to wear one as it's NOT a law, that said the person running the shop yelling at everyone was really not wearing one either as it was down below her mouth half the time. Everyone in the shop was rolling their eyes at her every time she opened her mouth about something. I assure you I will NEVER be back in that store again. You have always had RUDE antisocial people working there, not all of them, but a few who ruin your business.

They have mask requirement with signs all over and yet the woman behind the register was wearing a chin diaper, refusing to wear the mask correctly

This store was very “full”, they definitely had a lot to choose from! I felt that some of the items were a bit pricey but they were usually the “hand made” items. Staff seemed friendly though!

The customer service I received at Rustic is second to none. Karen and the staff were very warm and helpful. They continually went above and beyond to assist me. They now have a lifelong customer!

The selection and quality of items for sale in this store are unique compared to what you find the the other gift shops in town. Definitely worth a visit.

My husband and I had been walking off of Hwy 221 up the road from this store Rustic. Saddened to find an abandoned/sick baby duck on its own and in need of help. We couldn’t get to this baby to help it without proper equipment and without possibly scaring it and causing more trauma. We attempted calling the wildlife emergency number posted in the park but neither of our phones had a cell signal. So my husband and I hurried to our car and drove down the road until we had a sufficient signal. We quickly pulled off Main Street in Blowing Rock and called Wildlife Rescue in hopes of finding help for this little duckling. We pulled into a completely empty parking area in front of this store, Rustic and dialed the number.I barely had the car stopped when a blonde woman 40ish came out of the store and asked my husband what we were doing. My husband explained we were calling Wildlife Rescue and we just needed a minute. She clearly didn’t care and responded with , “Leave right now, get out of my parking lot” Then was making gestures, waving her arms shooing us away. This all happened on Tuesday June 30th at 12:58 pm and we pulled away at 1:03 pm. We were not in a parking space and very obviously on the phone having an intense, concerned conversation, as well as having the explanation from my husband.I have bought candles and other items from this store many times but I will never darken the doors of this business ever again. This owner or employee has shooed me and mine away forever!!!If her business was crowded or if I was in someone’s way, her behavior could make some sense to me.But the parking lot was empty!!!!I will never recommend or encourage anyone to shop in a business with a owner or employee that couldn’t give 5 minutes to a couple attempting to help an injured animal.

What a Wonderful Quaint Store with special unique gifts. Customer Service is excellent. They went out of their way above and beyond to help get what I needed. The ducks they have in stock made by a local artist are absolutely precious! Please go stop in when your in Blowing Rock. You will be glad you did.

Friends of ours who have a wonderful place in Boone, brought us into Rustic this afternoon. What a wonderful place. We will be back for sure. Meanwhile, I saw this duck, and this outfit and they just tickled the little girl who still lives in this happy 60 year-old lady! We’ve dressed him properly for the season, as a water-skier, and have named him “Hockey”, for reasons only my husband can explain!
