I was less than thrilled about the food here although it was good. My friend, a vegetarian, loved it but I struggled to find anything that interested me. I settled on a BLT with fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese which was good but not great. One friend had a tower of crab cakes. The atmosphere is sort of stark.Food: 3/5

Enjoyed an early lunch and found the best sweet potato tater tots. They have a grilled cheese special everyday but are flexible to changes. My wife had a salmon salad. The food and setting were good but our server Lexi was a game changer. She was knowledgeable, friendly, made great recommendations and was on top of everything.*UpdateAfter a few other restaurants on our trip I realized there were others that deserved 5 stars more so I adjusted mine to 4 stars.

If you're in Blowing Rock for vacation or just a visit, you MUST try this place for lunch! Multiple options from sandwiches, soups, main menu items, etc. I personally had the BLT among the various choices selected in our group of 25 and everyone in our group agreed that these were the best sandwiches we've ever had. Seriously! Kudos to the entire staff who were friendly, courtious and handled our very large group without hesitation!

All of the food we had was fabulous. We started with Fried Green Tomatoes. They were some of the best we have had. We all ordered different sandwiches plus one order of Shrimp & Grits. So good!!

One of the best meals I’ve had in years. Started with the house bread which was excellent. Shared the Pear and Prosciutto salad (excellent, great flavor combinations). I had the butternut & sage sausage dish and my wife got the chicken parm. Everything was perfectly cooked, great quality and tastes amazing. Dessert we had the banana bread pudding. I didn’t want to leave when they brought us the check!! Highly recommend.

We were looking for great Italian food and based on the reviews on TA we came here and it definitely did not disappoint! Our waitress, Alexis, was topnotch! She was super friendly and extremely helpful with the menu. It is such a cute and comfortable atmosphere. We had the chicken parm and chicken piccata and both were delicious! Even my friend's 7 year old scrapped the chicken piccata plate clean. I also thought the prices were reasonable and the portions were very good size. I would absolute recommend Storie Street Grille!!

Great food and service! We stopped by this restaurant for their tasting menu on NYE and really enjoyed the selection. My wife has celiac and we found the menu (and staff) to be very conscious of gluten sensitivities. We plan to come back and try some of the other offerings from the main menu!

Passing through today and we decided to grab a bite at Storie Street. Arrived at 3:15. The hours for Saturday were posted on a chalkboard outside, it said 11-9. I entered and was greeted by a kind gal, but then a frazzled man pushed her aside and said Can I help you? I said, Table for three, please. His response was, We're not seating right now. Not until dinner at five. He was unapologetic and I found it quite rude. Hours did not say 11-3 and 5-9. Oh well!

Great dinner place. Had vegan and non-vegan options for the family. Food was wonderful. Service just as good. When in Blowing Rock make a reservation and go.

Our server was fabulous! She offered great recommendations! I had the grain bowl, and it was SO good! Hubby said the shrimp and grits were delicious! Nice atmosphere. Food came out quickly. Bread pudding dessert was a nice finale!

Storie Street Grill used to be a favorite but since it has new owners, the prices are up, they have less offerings, and the food has changed. The meatball trio appetizer used to be a favorite, but is no longer offered. Today, two salads, two diet cokes, one dessert $59. Absolutely ridiculous. Our server, Taylor, was MIA for most of our meal.

Stopped in for lunch while driving the Parkway. Expectations were low based on our touristy-radar, but the food exceeded them and was actually pretty good. Specifically, we liked the steak and shroom flatbread and soup of the day, which was a African-styled sweet potato soup. However, prices were a touch high and we didn't get very good service. Slow and not attentive. It was busy when we got there, and I can give benefit of doubt for that, but 30+ minutes later things had quieted down and our server was still AWOL. Watching vacation time fritter away in a restaurant is not fun, but the food saved the day. If service is better, this is a good place to stop in Blowing Rock.

Had a large party today for brunch. We've been there before but something has really gone wrong: - 2 fried eggs served one on top of the other - biscuits literally as hard as a hockey puck unable to be cut with knife; told manager who said all were like that!! - Lemon ricotta pancakes had no taste of either lemon or ricotta - sweet potato pancakes were wet and mushy inside - 3" hunks of hard cantaloupe, orange slices with seeds and brown pineapple as a fruit cup Cannot in good conscience recommend this place until it corrects these among other problems...including an uninterested and unresponsive manager Wait staff were quite good....all things considered

My first visit and I’m looking forward to my next! Enjoyed a delicious gluten free lunch! Fried green tomatoes and my first gf calamari!! The sauces were amazing!! The flat bread was hot, fresh and delicious. Excellent service and the food was great!!
