Excellent Spa, great choices of services, amazing staff. My daughter and I went for the day and had a wonderful time. Not over crowded, quite, great choices for services. Pool was great, had lunch outside, and the views were magnificent. Would definitely go back.

We purchased a couples day at the spa at a charity auction in early 2022 and decided to come to Blowing Rock just before the New Year and stay two days in the Manor House. I researched the various rooms and property amenities before choosing the Veranda Suite. I read through the entire website and we were really looking forward to a great stay. Our room rate was more than $400 per night but having traveled to nice resorts and spas, we were not surprised.
The reservation for the Manor House was confirmed with the typical AirBnB emails and welcome information. The day before our departure for Blowing Rock I got another long “welcome” email. On the way up to Westglow, I read the entire email to find out for the first time that the only food service on the property would be our lunch on our spa day. No breakfast or dinner. To call yourself a resort and have zero meal service is simply a falsehood.
The Manor house did not have much in the way of amenities in the rooms. The previous reviews mentioned bathrobes, check-in service, etc. We each had one pair of slippers, which we didn’t need, no bathrobes and there was no shampoo. Heck you even get shampoo in a $60 per night motel.
When we went over to the spa to verify our treatments for the next day the girl was completely confused and told me there were no full day services on Sunday (the next day was Friday). Then my wife asked if she could have a glass of iced tea from the spa and she was told that our spa day was Friday, not Thursday. We were also told I could not buy a bottle of wine at the spa, until our “spa day” the following day. Some resort! Essentially we were paying over $400 per night for a bed. I could have had that for a lot less in a lot of other places.
The spa services were very good. We have no issue with them. The spa itself is in superb shape and the staff there is very good. I would suggest if you are going to Westglow for the spa, stay somewhere else. There are plenty of good BnBs in Blowing Rock and other resorts. If you stay with Westglow, in my opinion, you are wasting your money for no amenities and no food opportunities. You will just get a bed.

First, this review is not for the actual ser ice providers. They are excellent. The front desk at Westglow is concerning. Of the six visits, two have been tarnished by that role. I've asked for management to discuss this with me, but they are unfortunately defensive and not able to have that conversation. If you do visit Westglow, avoid intera tions with management and enjoy the excellent service. Iam sorry to have to leave this review after a wonderful wedding weekend where everyone but Katherine and her front desk employee were spectacular. Fortunately, this was at the end of the weekend, and there are other spas in the beautiful Blowing Rock area.

It is a shame to have to give a bad review for a front desk experience, actually two bad experiences now. It would be the best spa if the front were better oriented to problem solving and listening and service skills. It never ceases to dismay when the talented staff is excellent and the register/reservation person messes it up.

Wonderful half day at the Spa at Westglow with friends! Everyone was so sweet \\u0026 made you feel welcome. The facilities were clean. The tea they offer complimentary is wonderful! The massage I chose was a one hour deep tissue massage. It was so relaxing. She used a cream not a oil to rub in my skin which I felt was way better \\u0026 didn't leave me feeling oily. The half day spa package was a good deal because we got to enjoy the hot tub, pool, sauna, steam room \\u0026 pool also the fitness center! The views off the balcony was absolutely fantastic! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful spa experience that leaves you feeling refreshed and relaxed! The facilities were beautiful and clean. I did the half day spa experience and had lunch while I was there; it was delicious. The staff were experienced, friendly and helpful.

Spa services were great (massage, facial, hair). The front desk staff was unhelpful. We asked for the fireplace to be turned on…they didn’t know how. They were never around to ask for a drink or if we needed anything. The lunch was literally laughable. My “sandwich” was 2 inch X 2 inch and my side was LITERALLY 3 Of the tiniest piece of potatoes I hav ever seen (think breakfast hash brown). My friends and I spent all day here getting services and left STARVING.The two hairstylist were amazing! I’d go back for hair but I would eat before I went!

I was ***extremely concerned about how Spa Day was going to turn out. When calling to book-Whomever I spoke with was So Rude I almost hung up.I hate I didn’t get her name as she needed to be reported! Now to the good stuff! Everyone else at this facility was so gracious, helpful, and Kind! I highly recommend receiving a hot stone massage from Karen~Amazing! Additional highlights included: a 3 course lunch, lemon infused ice cubes, ginger tea, and the sauna! I’m so glad I didn’t allow my first impression to ruin a 5star experience.❤️

Go early !!!!!! We arrived for the 1/2 day afternoon spa package - by 4 pm they were ready to go. Took away all the specials- lemonade ice cubes, hot teas, the aromatherapy showers - all 3 had NO smells. When I asked if i should have signed up for a morning appointment- they looked like deer in headlights. Body scrub was good but I was expecting the 2014 travel and leisure top spas etc. not sure I'll come again- I worked super hard to gift my girls this magical mommy daughter day - and felt like we missed the boat ....

Blake was excellent. He made my wife and I feel very relaxed and welcome. He did a great job styling our hair, I would recommend him to anyone.

Westglow replaced their management and staff and are suffering from training their new group to maintain the high standards we have always enjoyed at Westglow. Massage therapists and facials are “ok”. Meditation room and lounges are not regularly serviced. It is difficult to find staff to help when needed. The attitude of staff is “ok” with an occasional smile. Add this to their Covid policies (no snacks or fruit, no blankets in meditation room, no lunch offerings on many days) and it creates an environment that is not “spa” quality.
My friends and I will wait several months before trying Westglow again.

Horrible customer service. We called trying to schedule our massage via a gift certificate, but turns out you can only schedule 2 days in advance. What kind of a spa does this? We are coming all the way from the west coast and need to plan our trip. This is ridiculous.
