Emergency department is a complete joke. Even in a seemingly empty waiting room, you will sit and wait, and wait, and wait... watching people who came in after you be called back, get treated and discharged while you still sit waiting, then even after being taken back to a room, we sat for over 2 hours without a nurse or anyone coming in. After 5 calls through the call button and numerous walks around the hallway just trying to find anyone, let alone our actual attending doctor, i finally got a nurse to come in only to immediately disappear again. We sat for hours while they go on lunch breaks and just chat in the hallways. And if you want to interact with an actual doctor.. Good luck!! They may have 1 doctor for the entire department, if youre lucky. These people are not qualified to run a lemonade stand, let alone a hospital. Stay away unless its life or death!!! Even then, don't hold your breath.

I would give ZERO stars if I could... Ronda was the worst person I could speak to, after trying to find out what I could do with my wife's condition, after she said she was in a great amount of pain, after she was picked up from the emergency room, I wanted to know what I could do about it, and I quote Ronda said "if your so worried about her, bring her back here" well ma'am I thought that's what the initial visit was for. Thank you Ronda I will definitely take that into consideration next time I don't come and see yall!

Don’t go. Just drive to Wilmington. Spent hours I there tonight. To just leave. Call people who can in after me to be seen and get X-rays. I have four broke ribs number3&6 complete breaks. Scraped my lung. Fractured my hip. Came here to be seen after I went to Wilmington 5 days previous. Huge difference in care. They had people in waiting room for over 7 hours. I counted patients when I came in less than 20 patients more like 15. So you can’t see 15 people in that amount of time. To top it off I made the nurse feel my chest and she felt amd HEARD my ribs pop and move. But I’m last of the line and they had people go in front of me after only an hour wait. Do no harm. Sure right. I’ve seen some bad hospitals in my 41+ years. This place tops the list for sure.Hers the best part I let them know I’m leaving out of courtesy they want me to sing an AMA. Lmfao. Again medical advice you say!!!??? What advice sit in a waiting room as I get bypassed by everyone. You should be ashamed at this conduct flat out ashamed!!!!

I couldn’t give this hospital a higher recommendation but I would give 10 stars if I could. The nurses treated me like family and was the most patient and kind and caring people. I had at least 6 different nurses. Also, Dr Benanati is the best! He ensured I was at ease and stayed with me to answer all my questions. He also answered a concern I had post surgery within a few hours on my chart. I highly recommend seeking out this hospital! They know what they are doing and you cannot out a price tag on the care you will receive.

Worst hospital ever. Sent my 85 y/o dad home from the ER immediately following a stroke. Dad went home, fell 3x, neighbor called 911. Back to the hospital. Fast forward a month, my 84 y/o mom goes in for Covid test. It takes them 48 hours to call her with the positive test results.

I really felt I had to share a very positive experience I had at the hospital yesterday. The nurses in the ER were absolutely wonderful, attentive. and caring. My experience with NP Jacqueline, was excellent. She is a great diagnostician. I’ve had an experience with her in the past at the ER and that one changed my life. She diagnosed a medical problem that I had for years and corrected it. I’ve been here in Brunswick County for 25 years and I’ve always used local hospital and have been very pleased and impressed with it.

Very pleased with our two (separate) recent experiences at Novant Brunswick Medical Center. We have had both emergency room and med-surge visits and both were excellent. All of the staff that we dealt with was incredibly nice and calm. My dad stayed for almost a week and was treated like a king. He almost didn't want to leave because of the wonderful care and treatment that he received. We would highly recommend this hospital.

My experience had never been bad at this facility until last Friday Sept.1, 2023. When the receptionist put my arm band on the way it was done was so weird. This receptionist acted as if it was about to cause their death to touch me so much so that the band was barely put on. I didn't say a word I just said to myself ''hmmm I'm here for my knee but you use two fingers to place on my armband making sure not to touch me'' PERIOD!! Also I just watched this receptionist minutes before put an armband on the lady in front of me as well as asked her if she wanted a wheelchair. Assisting this lady getting her a chair, assisting her sit in the chair and rubbing her back. This receptionist was very accommodating. I for sure needed assisting by way of my cane also of which I had to go and get after having knee surgery just days before. I also was alone at the time because my husband was 40 minutes away trying to get home and trying to get to me because my surgical bandage started to come off and needed to be checked and it was after offices hours. There was a nice gentleman who offered to get me a wheelchair. I said thank you but he seemed just as uncomfortable as I felt. When I got to the back and was getting checked in the doctor was talking and the nurse made the statement who would put your band on like this as it was hanging on barely. I said the receptionist at the front. The doctor then said yes I've seen this a few times i'm going to have to talk to someone about this ''It's just weird huhh" and they continued with excellent service. But I must say I felt good to know that I was not the only person that thought it was weird. So tonight I had to go back to the hospital due to uncontrollable pain and swelling my son got my wheelchair and I filled out my form and again this receptionist put my band on making sure not to touch me. Now I know for sure this receptionist has an issue that needs to be addressed and I asked Are you okay? Yes was the answer take a seat over there and someone will be with you soon. This receptionist has an issue with my skin color or just doesn't know how to put on an armband but at any rate i'm going to see that this receptionist gets the help that is needed to treat people fairly or learn to put on armband. Which ever one comes first. People be kind to people all the time it cost nothing, It's what God wants us to do and if for whatever reason you can't handle the health care industry pick another profession. People in need of help does not need your services.

I forgot to mention that Anesthesiologist was fantastic I don't recall his name and I will look it up. He is outstanding. We had baby on Sunday 08/13/2023. What a wonderful experience. The nurses the doctors the midwife were outstanding. We had to have a C-section it was as good experience. I would give them 100 out of 10. Thank you so much for all that you do.

I cannot say enough positive things about this hospital. As a retired RN, I am quite finicky about standard of care. Believe me, this hospital surpassed all! From the ED to the Pcu, the topmost of care was provided. The nursing staff was fabulous. Very attentive to my fiance and his safety. They even provided a sitter when he was confused. They were kind, patient and compassionate. The medical staff were fantastic as well! They took time to explain the disease process and took the appropriate steps to ensure his recovery. Bravo Brunswick Novant! Don't change a thing! It's obvious that you take care of your employees by the way they treat their assigned patients. If I could give 10 stars, I would!

Daughter came in with history of sepsis with obvious signs of an infection and she sat in the er for hours and ended up walking out. She’s in the area on vacation away from family but we’ve always had no problems with Novant ER’s until now. Clearly this hospital don’t know how to manage fast track patients that are minor so they can get them in and out. Maybe try organizing the er department better and you wouldn’t have patients walking out waiting forever. Here, in our town they have a separate room designated for minor stuff since obviously that is what you thought it was. Thankfully I do have a background in the medical field to know she wasn’t in sepsis but I also know that one minute you can be fine and the next you’re not. Also, she said y’all had a doctor coming out going through slips picking out which patients to take back which I think is highly unprofessional. My parents also had an encounter twice there with my dad that she had to fight for to get anything done after he passed out and fell into a cast iron bath tub and had to fight them to get testing run!!! He ended up with a concussion and a type of stomach virus that isn’t common and was just trying to dismiss trust any of this was happening and just saying it’s just a virus!!! These new age doctors I swear are taught to just blame everything on viruses and anxiety if they don’t know what it is bc they are too stupid or have no common sense at all they try to blame the patient. Anyways, y’all should get someone else in there to organize and manage the place better and find doctors that aren’t so darn stupid!!!

I had a great experience with the Brunswick Medical Center ER on the morning of August 7. I brought my child in who was experiencing labored breathing and unusual lethargy. His breathing and affect had improved by the time we arrived, but the medical staff still proceeded with thorough assessment and treatment. Everyone we encountered (front desk staff, nurses, respiratory therapist, and doctor) were warm and attentive. They did an outstanding job at putting my son at ease. My son was assessed and treated by Dr. Hale. I left feeling well-informed by him, and feeling relieved and more than satisfied with the medical care my child received, and with his treatment plan.

I recently had to have a procedure done at this hospital. I can't say enough positive things about my experience. From the time I walked in the doors to the time I walked out, every staff member was wonderful. They were filled with smiling faces, which were refreshing and calming as I was terrified about the procedure I was about to have. The caregivers were professional and kind.I have had to have to be seen in the past years at some of the surrounding hospitals, including Little River, North, Myrtle Beach, and Grand Strand, and hands-down Novant in Supply is at the top of my list. I have never reviewed a hospital before, but I wanted to make a point to send this in to allow everyone looking up reviews on Novant to know of my pleasant recent experience with the hospital and staff. The procedure wasn't fun but every staff member that I had contact with made it a little easier to handle.*Steven in patient registration was one of the nicest humans that I have met in a hospital setting. You can tell that he enjoys his job and that makes a world of difference.*Karen H in the pre-op area was amazing. I can't say that enough. I was very upset and scared upon arriving to her, and she did everything in her power to make things a little easier for me. She is such a sweet lady, and you can tell that she truly cares about her patients. She was personable and kind and I will never forget her. Caregiver is like this are how it is supposed to be. She's an angel.*Brenda in the surgical room was very kind as well. She was a cute little bubbly gal. She clearly saw I was in distress and scared and she talked to me and explained how things would go even when she didn't have to take all that time with me. She was wonderful!*Tyler was the PA Radiologist that performed my procedure. He was very nice and pleasant as well. He was calm and explained each and every thing he was doing so that I would know and could be prepared for it. He was professional and efficient with his time during the procedure and he was trying his best to ensure that my experience was as good as it could be. He was great! In conclusion, I haven't had great care in the surrounding hospitals over the years. Novant has set the standards higher than the rest as they offer wonderful care to their patients. I will most definitely choose them for all upcoming care and procedures for myself and my family!

My 87 year old mother went in on Thursday and will be going home to day after gallbladder removal yesterday. This hospital is a breath of greasy air after my experiences staying with other friends and family in Wilmington. The nurses and staff are beyond kind and they all did an excellent job. My mom was very happy with her care and I will go there if I need hospitalization. So excited to know about this little gem.

I had a Great experience here this past weekend, unfortunately I had to go to the ER. I am 10 weeks pregnant & had severe vaginal bleeding & I was taken in right away. They did everything to keep me & my husband calm from the moment we got there until we left. Every nurse & PA were attentive to making sure that baby & me were safe & ok. Thankfully everything is fine, but we are so fortunate for the Amazing Staff at this Hospital, Thank You so much ?
