The worst management I’ve ever had. The took our deposit, let our neighbor harass us, and maintence constantly left my doors unlocked. They will take your deposit even if you were a 22 year old girl LIVING ALONE and never had guests over…. This place needs to be shut down. Here is the list they provided us.

I beg of yall to find a different company to rent from. I stayed in one of their properties in ‘24 and it was an abysmal situation. I received a phone call out of office hours from Tammy Dunnigans personal number to curse me out. They will take advantage of you at every turn. They’ve been under investigation from the Better Business Bureau many times. Do yourself a favor and find another group.

Advanced Realty is a frustratingly misleading name for such an ineffective company. They are dishonest, rude, lazy, dismissive, and combative. I could go on, but the incompetence of the staff—especially Tammy—stands out the most.
Every time I spoke with Tammy, she was dismissive and short, providing no real solutions. When I expressed concerns about the cleanliness of the house, her only responses were “Well, do you want to move out?” and “It was cleaned to our standards” which are abysmally low. That speaks volumes about her attitude.
To make matters worse, they discarded all our remaining belongings during a hurricane to protect their own interests. They even emailed us to ask if we wanted to pick up our items, only to throw them out without our permission just thirty minutes later. Imagine coming home to find your place flooded, try to salvage what you can and bag it up, and then it gets thrown out and broken anyway! Everything we owned was in disarray in our yard!
Thank you, Advanced Realty, for making an already difficult situation worse. Read the other reviews and take them seriously. I wish I hadn’t given them the benefit of the doubt. I’ll include pictures of things that were broken upon moving in, how their cleaning standards look, and how they care for their tenants and their property.

Worst realty company in Boone. Actual slumlords who will blatantly lie to your face about cleaning in between tenants, even when there are covid tests from the previous tenant left in the bedroom! This is the sketchiest rental company in Boone, not to mention they are incredibly rude, dismissive, and very obviously take advantage of young people being out on their own for the first time. When we moved in, none of the sinks worked, there was a break in the waterline, drainage back up in the sinks, dust everywhere, etc. The house was so filthy, I actually spilled water one day and when I wiped it up (orange washcloth; picture attached) it was BLACK. And the biggest problem of all, they will throw out ALL of your belongings during a natural disaster and then pile sheetrock and debris on top of that to mitigate their own damages!! The few items that survived hurricane Helene were literally THROWN into the yard and broken by “Advanced” Realty. Strongly strongly recommend to look literally anywhere else for a rental company. Trust and believe the incredibly generous 2 star rating.

DO NOT RENT IF YOU ARE MILITARY. They do not care about you and will treat you and your chain of command with complete disrespect when having to go on active orders and terminating your lease. There are laws that protect service members THANKFULLY, but they do not care and will try to milk money out of you. Currently having to get lawyers involved because of their disregard of federal laws.

Just like every other slum lord in Boone. Hard to find an actual good rental company up here. Oh, and also not very accommodating/understanding of service animals. Tammy was the worst.

AWFUL, Currently renting an apartment for college. These people are a true definition of slum lords. Apartment has mold in kitchen and no running water and these people don't care. They blame the owner. Don't rent from these people.

Charged me $400 for a “broken” microwave handle… the microwave was from 2007. Edit: $360.12 we covered 1/2 ($180.06). When I called asking for a receipt to verify a microwave handle being $360. I was met with hostility and choice words for the interaction from Tammy. Very unprofessional and rude.

Completely outrageous parking policy that you are forced to sign in order to park like a functioning citizen. Forced to sign away your rights to get a basic parking spot, and they are essentially a brick wall when it comes to any sort of repairs and leaks from other neighboring apartments.

I have owned a unit at. Blue Ridge Vista for many years. Have had excellent service from Advanced Property Management, especially from Tammy.

Tammy, Derrick and the rest of the crew are awesome. My daughter has rented for 2 years and no matter what the request or complaint they always try to fix it within a timely manner. We moved my daughter into a different house and to say the house had been destroyed by subleasers was an understatement. Tammy went beyond to expedite cleaning and maintenance, Derrick was at the house within a few hours and had half the things repaired and working. He had a smile on his face and was so pleasant. The house is still a work in progress but they really stepped up and helped turn this disaster around.

Honestly not surprised by the other horrible reviews. As someone else said this is a truly unprofessional group of people.We’ve been contacting them about a water issue in the yard of our condo units for over a month. It’s a standing puddle of stagnant water. Mold. Mosquitoes. It stinks.I’ve been lied to on multiple occasions and they STILL haven’t attempted to fix the issue. It’s just a leaking underground water line.Incredibly rude customer service as well.

Whitney from Advanced Realty was incredibly helpful when my roommate and I were trying to find an apartment. Despite the company running out of units the prior week, she personally reached out to my roommate and I to see if we were interested in checking out a new listing they just received. Once my roommate and I agreed that we wanted to sign a lease, she personally told us that they would not contact anyone else until we signed the lease and paid the deposit. I can definitely tell that they care about their tenants and I cannot think Whitney enough for being so helpful.
