Boone's Fly Shop is an Orvis fly shop and guide service located in downtown Boone, NC. It carries a full line of Orvis and Simms gear and clothing, along with Sage and Scott fly rods and over 1200 fly patterns chosen for local fisheries. The shop provides guided wade and float trips on favorite local streams including the Watauga, Elk, Toe, and Wilson Creek, as well as float trips for trophy brown trout on the legendary South Holston and Watauga tailwaters. The guides are seasoned professionals who have made it their career to put all skill levels of guests on fish. They are described as fantastic, friendly, patient, helpful, and knowledgeable, with a genuine love for the job. They provide a great education and are happy to teach novice anglers, ensuring a special experience even in challenging weather conditions. The staff are anglers with a passion for teaching and growing the sport, always happy to answer questions and help set up the perfect rig. They provide all necessary quality equipment, including waders, boots, and poles. All tours are catch and release, supporting conservation. Holden & Brayden were fantastic! Super knowledgeable and friendly. Holden spent about an hour discussing flys with my husband while Brayden chatted with me about the excursions! We will definitely return!

Visited the Boone store today, helpful staff and a huge selection of fishing gear and clothing. And they are dog friendly!
