This needs tp be a 24/7 pharmacy for the patients leaving the MEDICAL CENTER AFTERHOURS! Considering we have 22k+ students, tourists, outdoor enthusiasts with injuries and our aging population of folks moving here. The closest 24/7 pharmacy is in Wilkesboro! Do better!!

I’ve always had a pleasant experience at this CVS, but yesterday was a challenging day to day the least. It was pouring rain (by the buckets) out, so just getting to the store was a feat. The computers at self-checkout went down and the young man (attendant) up front was so courteous and kind. Even though I was there longer than I anticipated, he made the time pleasant! He was very helpful and kind.

Holy cow the store is awful
I was this there 20 minutes ago to purchase some candy from the shelf that was buy one get one 50 Percent off
Cashier would not honor the price because a sticker on the shelf was from last week
She said they don’t honor shelf pricing that they forgot to take down
She suggested maybe I go to Walmart
Tried to talk to the manager on duty and she was on vacation, Heather

I've officially decided to switch my pharmacy to Walgreens due to repeated negative experiences at this CVS location. On multiple occasions, l've been met with rudeness and a complete lack of professionalism from the pharmacy staff.
Just a few days ago, I came in to ask if this location offered a rapid swab test. Instead of a clear answer, I was met with a disgusted look from the young lady working the counter and treated like I was asking something outrageous -as if I should have known this service wasn't available here. The reaction was not only unhelpful but also condescending.
Then today, April 16 at 11:24 AM, I tried to use the drive through to pick up my medication feeling visibly sick. The woman at the drive up window opened the window and didn't even greet me- just stared at me with a MISERABLE frown. It was most definitely deliberate. No compassion, no kindness, not even basic decency. When you're sick and trying to get care, that kind of treatment is absolutely unacceptable.
I'm not asking for special treatment-I'm asking people to do their jobs with a baseline level of human decency.
It's frustrating and disheartening to be treated like you're an inconvenience for simply needing medical assistance. This has happened enough times now that I'll be taking all of my future prescriptions and business to Walgreens.

This is the worst pharmacy by far. They don’t help. You have to be your own advocate. A prescription was way more expensive last time I went to get it, first they said talk to your doctor, then they said I filled it too soon, then I looked on your app to see what the cost should be and finally they looked again after 15 minutes and it had been charged without running through insurance.
Then this past time after I had asked for them to transfer all of my meds from Charlotte, they didn’t and still filled them all in Charlotte. When my husband pressed they said blame your doctor not us, that’s how the doctor called them in. Well that was 3 different doctors. It wasn’t the doctors it’s that the girl didn’t transfer my perceptions there like I asked.
They are terrible and just need a lesson on being the customer’s advocate.

Awful service and as other reviews have stated, this store is completely unprofessional, unorganized and makes it hard to get prescription medications on a good day. Lazy employees who are dismissive, and if you are relying on a medication to keep alive, this is not the CVS to go to. Take your medication elsewhere because they will not be able to help you and be rude about it in the process.

Wont pick up phone. Takes 10 minutes to get through the automated phone tree. Almost died one time as well due to not having specific seizure medicine on hand, even when requested multiple days prior... there was no shortage at the time either.

While my original review was accurate, at the time, I’ve seen positive changes in this pharmacy. Shawn (or Sean) has gone above and beyond to help my husband with a prescription that is not often in stock and very necessary to my husband’s health. It’s all about the right people doing the right thing for the people that depend on them. This pharmacy staff seems to be working with new leadership and headed in the right direction.
Original Review
It is obvious the pharmacy staff is overworked and stressed, but that does not give Pharmacist Josiah or any other pharmacy staff the right to treat customers as if they are an inconvenience, rudely, and talk down to people (or ignore them). I experienced this first hand, and watched them treat two elderly customers (who needed help and had questions) like they were a bother, like they were stupid and insignificant. No circumstance makes that okay. CVS Corporate-if you cannot staff properly, stop offering all the additional services until you can. Josiah and staff- maybe consider sensitivity training or a job in which you do not directly interface with people.

We use this CVS when in the high country as an extension of our home CVS..This location has repeatedly done a superior job managing our pharmacy needs and especially flexibility on script pickup...The staff is super helpful on phone and in person.. We plan to use them often...
