I’m beyond frustrated with the cucumbers at Harris Teeter. I bought organic cucumbers, expecting something fresh and natural — instead, I got a vegetable coated in thick, greasy wax that felt disgusting to touch and impossible to remove. I washed my hands twice with soap and water after peeling it, and the wax was still all over my skin. That is not okay.
Why is there this much wax on something labeled organic? The skin is supposed to be the most nutritious part — full of fiber and antioxidants — and I had to peel it just to stomach eating it. What’s the point of organic if it’s covered in something that makes you feel like you handled a candle?
This has never happened when I’ve shopped at Earth Fare or local markets. If this is the new standard for “fresh produce” at Harris Teeter, I’ll be shopping elsewhere from now on. Customers deserve better than this.

On 7/24 went with weekly circular. Lipton Family Teabags (BOGO) were not on the shelves. Thomas English Muffins (BOGO) had no Whole Wheat, which they usually have. This was the FIRST day of the sale, not the end. At checkout, the paper bags have shrunk by about 25% compared to the former size...so it takes a lot of little bags to load into the car. Certainly not my best impression of Harris Teeter.

I love this store and the staff, been shopping here for over 20 years, today the florist made this beautiful hand bouquet for my daughter in law, they made it extra special and it was a really great price. The florist even thought about putting in a blue flower ‘something borrowed something blue’, I think the blue flower is: White Anemones commonly symbolize innocence, purity, and sincerity, making them popular for events like weddings and baptisms. Thank you Harris Teeter FLORIST for thinking about that extra touch❤️💕💐

Good selection of all kinds of food. Very well staffed, and checkout goes quickly. We like the sales and the fuel program. They have some good weekly sales.

Harris Teeter is always a good choice.
Their prices are reasonable, the store is always clean and has a fresh feeling.
I usually go to the deli for lunch.
Definitely one of my favorite grocery stores.

Had a great dinner with friends. Sat outside, fans made it not too hot. Service was terrific, food was really good for the most part. Only glitch was one of ordered a steak rare, came out medium well and had to be sent back.
