“I have been in several other western NC ABC stores, but I was surprised by the variety that this one has. Pretty much if you are looking for it, they have it. The employees were pleasant as well.”
“I love this place. We always go to Boone and Blowing Rock with another couple and while the girls shop upstairs, we go have a beer. For some reason, beer taste better here, maybe because I'm not upstairs following my wife while she shops. This place has a great selection and I always try something I've never had before. I hate IPAs but I've tried a few here that I like. Again, I think it's because I'm drinking beer instead of following my wife around while she shops. It's a win win guys......or girls, try some beers you normally wouldn't like, they just taste better here. We're heading back in October and this is always our first stop because there's nothing like a beer buzz at 11:00am. Cheers!!”

“I’ve been visiting Peabody’s Wine & Beer Merchants in Boone for nearly 20 years, and it’s still one of my favorite stops. Since 1978, they’ve offered not just an incredible selection of craft beer and wine, but genuine hospitality and a true sense of community.
Their team is knowledgeable, approachable, and always ready with a great recommendation..never pretentious. You’ll find everything from local favorites to rare cellar gems, all fresh and well-curated. Many describe Peabody’s as “a real oasis” in the High Country, and I couldn’t agree more.
