  BJ is great! I got a recommendation for her from a creative business owner in Blowing Rock and not only could I get in. She gave me a sweet cut that was better than the last one I got in Brooklyn New York and way more affordable!! Also I got a compliment right away from someone at a shop in Boone!!

  After complimenting a couple different ladies on their nice hairstyle and learning they were using Charly at Smart Cuts as their stylist, I decided to give her a try. She does a great job and I'm sure the other stylists there do also. I'm just picky about my hair and have left other salons fighting back tears in the past. I like knowing that I can walk into Smart Cuts and and ask for Charly and no surprises and she's well worth tipping!

  Went in today and asked for a trim all around (a bit off the bangs and back). My stylist was nice but cut my hair way too short.

  Haircut was cheap with my student discount. I was struggling to describe how I wanted my hair cut but my stylist still got it perfect 👌🏻. I’ll definitely be back!!

  My hairstylist Charley is very professional and does a very great job on my hair and gives me a clean cut style and well for my beard. I've been coming to Smart Cuts for over 1 1/2, and having Charley as my stylist is well worth my money.

  Guy cutting hair in the Boone store complained to 2 people about how much he didn’t like this area. First person he told that he didn’t like all the “transient” people here in this area. Second client that he had he complained to that he didn’t like it here because there were to many southerners here. That being said he cut my hair on one occasion and it was the worst haircut I’ve had in my life.
  I will say I’ve been going to this location since they opened and have always had excellent friendly service. I won’t go back while he’s employed there though.

  they were nice but definitely not a place to get a quality haircut, if you want something cheap and quick this is the place

  Lady at the first chair on the right when you walk in is literally blind, or just doesn't care about her job. Sideburns are an inch off, missed my entire neck, and around my ears is almost comical. Called for a refund, was told that she had to "see my haircut" before it being issued. So I turned around from my driveway and went back. manager didn't say anything, or even look at me - he just stared incompetently at the computer screen while she processed my refund. Just cut your hair yourself and save the trouble, this place is operated by wooks.

  5/5! This Smartcuts is amazing! The vibe is awesome with a old classic gum ball machine and free lollipops! The service was fast, nice and amazing. They gave me 2 amazing hair cuts 2/2 times I've been. Very nice people! Definitely come to this place!

  My first and last visit to Smartcuts. I went to get my hair trimmed and reshaped. I specifically said, "Do not cut the top or front of my hair short". And that is the very first thing the hairdresser did. She didn't follow the way my hair grows, nor did she follow the style in the picture I showed her. There is nothing I can do with this haircut except cover it with a scarf until it grows out. The hairdresser cut at random and left what appears to be a bald spot on one side. My hair grows very slow; I'll be stuck with this botched hair cut for months. Why didn't I say anything? She asked me to keep my head lowered while she cut. Past hairdresser's have said this, so I didn't think that was unusual. Everyone has their own style of cutting hair. Smarcuts is convenient and it's good that you can walk-in but you'll walk-out very unhappy.
