This is a great place to get belittled. Come to figure out why there’s an outstanding balance on an account that’s been closed for months? Here’s a heathy dose of sarcasm. I’m pretty sure this company scammed me for another $90 just because I left. Spectrum is a perfect example of why this country desperately needs better antitrust enforcement. Thanks for years of slow and intermittent internet. I’m thrilled I get to take my business elsewhere.

During my in-store visit, I found the staff to be disengaged, unhelpful, and inattentive to customer needs. Rather than offering guidance or attempting to resolve my issue, the interaction felt dismissive and indifferent. As a longtime customer, this was both unexpected and disheartening, particularly because I have grown accustomed to the exceptional care your call-center representatives provide. Over the phone, your team members are patient, knowledgeable, and compassionate—qualities that inspire confidence and trust in the Spectrum brand.
The discrepancy between the outstanding phone support and the poor in-store experience in Boone is concerning. Customers should be able to rely on the same level of professionalism, respect, and problem-solving across all service channels. I hope that this feedback will be used constructively to improve training, accountability, and customer engagement at this particular location.

Disappointed in Spectrum as a company and this particular location. They constantly try to sell you their horrible mobile service and have the audacity to justify their terrible internet and customer service by claiming they charge “below retail value”.
Watched multiple potential customers enter and exit the Boone location while waiting to simply switch the “old modem” Spectrum provided when I (unfortunately) signed up for their service. When you’re greeted with just a tablet, no clear instructions, and no associate willing to acknowledge you’ve entered the store, it’s not a good sign. Listened as sales associates attempted to up charge their existing customers for services I’d be shocked they actually wanted or needed.
When switching out my “old modem”, the employee gave me what looked exactly like my “old modem”. When I asked if there was a difference, he was unable to tell me and told me it’s just what they tell him to give out. I also was not provided with an ethernet cable for the “new modem,” which is required to connect to my router so I can use the internet service I’m paying “below retail value” for.

I’ve had Spectrum for three months and I’ve had to replace the router four times in & the modem twice. I have issues with spectrum every week… It’s quite frustrating how much I am having issues. I do not recommend.

This is one of the worst services I have ever had the misfortune of paying for. Spectrum has constant outages, some of which are planned, though they don’t typically inform me when they are coming. I’m a college student in my senior year, and there have been multiple occasions where I have lost significant amounts of work time due to outages. Unfortunately, Spectrum has a monopoly on my address, and I can’t get internet access from anyone else. If you have the option, choose literally any other service. If you’re like me, and don’t have any other choice, be ready to talk to customer service a lot. The one positive is that they will credit your account for prolonged outages, but this is the bare minimum in my opinion, as it’s unreasonable to ask customers to pay for services not rendered.
EDIT- Based on the copy/paste response I got advising me to contact customer service, I feel certain that they did not read my review, where I mention previously contacting customer service. This is unprofessional and insulting, but does do a really good job of illustrating the issues with communication and providing the advertised services this company has.
