“Just wonderful place neatly stacked to the ceiling (almost) with clothes and supplies for victims of Helene and life in general. Amazing volunteers who are funny and charming despite the sad circumstances they deal with every day. Kudos to this facility”
“The Cracker Barrel experience is uniformly good from store to store, with lots of choices and reasonable prices. Just know the ambiance is kinda like a large family gathering-noisy.We had the new 4-piece fried chicken dinner, and of course we got take-out boxes for our leftovers, which was enough for another meal later. Their iced tea is very good; I like half and half--half sweet and half unsweet. If you like country cooking, then you came to the right place.Servers are typically attentive and prices are reasonable. It is fun to see the antiques, advertising items, etc. which is the decorating theme in their dining areas. They also have the country store area as you enter, with lots of unique items, including old fashioned candies and soft drinks in glass bottles, as well as the covered front porch with old-timey rocking chairs and oversized checkerboards on which to play. The Boone store is located right on Blowing Rock Highway, so it is easily accessible from Boone or Blowing Rock.”
“We had our wedding at The Mill at Rock Creek this past weekend and had the most amazing experience! The staff took care of all of the setup and heavy lifting, which included flipping the room as we had our ceremony inside due to the weather. Even with having our cocktail hour inside and on the covered patio, there was still plenty of room for our guests to move around whilst the staff moved the furniture! From the time we booked our date all the way to having our event, communication was clear and it was easy to get ahold of the manager, Alexis, with questions. The Mill was easy to work with and such an amazing place to have our wedding!”
