About Watauga Humane Society
The Watauga Humane Society is a nonprofit organization and a beautiful, super facility for animals. It homes all types of cats, kittens, dogs, puppies, and other critters. The animals are very well taken care of in a great environment with a huge area for them to run around and play. The staff is great, dedicated, and super helpful, often going above and beyond. They are a team of enthusiastic and responsible individuals who tackle the emotional burden of caring for unhoused animals with care. They spay and neuter all pets ready for adoption. If any come in sick, they ensure proper isolation and medical needs are met until the pet is ready. The organization loves volunteers to help clean, walk, and play with the dogs and cats. Staff and volunteers put significant work into animal socialization. They also gratefully accept donations of supplies and food. The shelter responsibly manages foster-to-adopt situations for animal health and is quickly responsive to questions. It is a place with lots of cool animals to see, considered by many to be the nicest shelter.
