Every other time I stop by it's temporarily closed for one reason or another. Today the sign just says we are having issues and will reopen when the issue is resolved. This is crazy that whoever owns this place is running a much needed local store this way. They need to do better. It's 6:45 on a Sunday evening by the way.

New store manager is running this place into the ground. Hiring staff that has no idea what they are doing. Tired of dealing with her rude attitude. This place is a joke. Do better corporate.

You’re lucky if the store is even open, and twice as lucky if there’s anyone in it to even run it. It’s 3pm on Saturday the store is locked up, no one’s there, then the worker randomly pulls up in the park lot goes inside locks it back. No signage on the door no explanation, she saw the multiple cars in the parking lot and locked the doors back up. this location just needs to shut down.

Stay away from this location. All of the aisles are blocked by junk sitting in the floor. Out of stock and completely dirty.

So this is an update at first they were closing early due to staff and it was like flipping a coin on if they were open. Still not enough staff, and needs some work. Million or even Billion dollar companies, pay your employees. We are nothing without each other. I don't understand why folks don't get that.

It’s really my fault for going here, but this is the WORST Dollar General that I have ever gone to. It’s not just one experience, it’s every time. I try to avoid it but sometimes I can’t help myself when it’s the one that I’m driving past. Sometimes I’m fortunate enough to be greeted by a handwritten sign on the door informing me that no one came to work today so the store is closed. Unfortunately, some days, like today, they’re open. I was running late for a party so stopped at this DG for a card and a gift card. There were not many cards left to choose from but I found one and the gift card I was looking for. I thought for a minute that things were going my way. Then I got in the very slow moving line where the lone cashier was taking his time checking people out. When it was finally my turn, I asked for $30 to be loaded onto the gift and the cashier rudely asked me if I had cash for the gift card (“you got cash for that?). I said I didn’t and would be using a credit card. He said “we only take cash for gift cards”. I informed him that I regularly buy gift cards from DGs and pay by credit card. Then he informed me, “Well, some guy came in here and tried to buy a bunch of gift cards with a fake credit card so now we only take cash”. I asked if that was his rule or a corporate rule. I never got an answer to that but he did let me know that his assistant manager would tell me the same thing and offered to get her for me. As I was already running late, I did not have the time to further debate this lunacy so I left without what I had come for. I then drove to a different store ( not a DG) where I was able to buy a gift card with a credit card. Luckily the “guy with the fake credit card” hadn’t made it there yet. Do yourself a favor, when you get to this DG, drive two miles in any direction and find another one.

Just a basic dollar general but there is alot of clutter on the floor. Some of the freezers where broke and covered in melted ice cream. It's very obvious that the employees here don't love or take pride in their job.

Showroom floor has stuff piled everywhere. Nothing is in the correct spot. Things are damaged and left on shelves. Roll-tainers are scattered through the store blocking some aisles. Cashier sits outside the majority of the time smoking a cigarette (older lady). Salads are brown in the freezers. Drinks are not that cold.

The guy working stock always smells like weed, and the prices are shady for example if something says on the price sticker its one dollar it says more than that at the register. Shady place Shady management, dirty dusty food shelves, dirty floors, spilt liquid on the floor all the time nobody cleaning it up, parking lot filthy with trash, the list goes on and on. I like the new dollar general in Reidsville near washburns lake I dont mind driving farther away for a better shopping experience.
