We really enjoyed our stay here. It's an old building and it shows in some hidden corners, but it's beautifully decorated, cozy, and clean. We were greeted in the most friendly way imaginable, given a tour of the property, and walked to our spacious room. There was a heater in the bathroom ceiling! The breakfast was plentiful with one hot item and various fruits and bread, yogurt, coffee and juice. The owner greeted me by name every time he saw me. It may not be the fanciest spot I've ever seen, but it's truly operated with love and I felt welcome and at home. The beds were amazing! One thing I'll recommend, which wasn't even an issue with me since I started doing this long ago.. if you're a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. You can faintly hear noise outside or in adjoining rooms, so if you're a super light sleeper like me, you'll appreciate having them. It wasn't loud or rowdy, I'm just awakened by a change in temperature.

Really nice place. Everything has a personal feel to it. When they say kid friendly they mean it. Activity table at front desk, Manager fixed breakfast for my 6 year old Grand, etc...the place is tucked away in a neighborhood very close to train. If you're looking for a 5 star hotel with 1000 tv channels, free stuff in bathroom, breakfast that has 1000 items and none it's good, mgn people that move you around quickly to get you out of the way, then this is not your place. If you looking for a friendly atmosphere with good people and nice accomodations this is your place. I will be backNearby activities: Short distance to train

This inn exceeded our expectations! They serve a delicious breakfast and didn't mind that we brought our small dog with us! The room was so comfortable! We had lounge chairs, a microwave, frig, private bathroom and a heavenly bed as well as an outside area with rockers. It was nice not to hear your neighbor or have people run down the hallway yelling! Truly a five star stay!Nearby activities: We visited downtown Bryson City which was very walkable and quite friendly! Most of the shops were unique and affordable. We ate at CJ's Grille and later rode the Polar Express. What a memory!Walkability: The shops were located side by side downtown. There were benches and chairs along the sidewalks if you wanted to take a break.Food & drinks: CJ's Grille served real food! We shared a half pound cheeseburger, real onion rings and delicious mozzarella sticks. Mmmm it was good!

Got a good deal for weekend stay. Very close to city center. Cute place with nice view of mountains. Clean but could use some updating. Beds weren’t very comfortable but otherwise a good place to stay. Kid friendly.Rooms: Clean, cute but a little dated.Nearby activities: Right outside city centerWalkability: Close to city center but not safe to walk to downtown - up a curvy hill with no sidewalk.Food & drinks: Everything you need just a few minutes away (by car)

We recently had a one-night stay at McKinley Edwards Inn.The folks that own and run the Inn are very welcoming. The Inn is beautifully decorated, both inside and out. The dining area for breakfast (don't miss it) is warm and relaxing. I could've sat there all day and enjoyed the quiet and comfortable surroundings. The Inn was spotlessly clean! Location makes it a breeze to get into town for all that Bryson City has to offer.I will definitely stay here again if my travels take me in that direction.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the McKinley Edwards Inn! My husband and I stayed here for a last minute anniversary getaway. I had mentioned during reserving the room that we were celebrating our anniversary, and when we checked into our room they had left a card and small box of chocolate for us which I found so thoughtful! The room was large and comfortable. The breakfast the next morning was delicious. The owners were very welcoming and spent time showing us around the property. There is the main house, and then the rooms are in a building behind the main house. They clearly state on their website that there are no elevators to the upper floors, so we were not surprised by this. The stairs were easy for us to navigate to our second floor room. The courtyard separating the buildings was lovely although we did not use the fire pit or any of the outdoor sitting areas. Overall, it was a great place to stay, and we will definitely stay here again if we are back in the area.

Was able to reserve this last minute, and after being there I don't know how this place was not fully booked. The room size was more than we expected, and the comfort of the bed was great. The owners accommodate anything we asked. We will recommend to friends and will visit again if in the area again.

This inn was a wonderful surprise. We had two adjoining rooms with a common porch on the third floor since we were with another couple. The rooms were very adequate, clean, with everything needed available. The grounds were so charming! Besides the gazebo with a fire pit, there was a coy pond, beautiful flagstone walkways, a surprise fairy garden in a bird bath, lovely antique garden decor, old doors with painted birds hanging in between outside buildings, quaint window flower boxes hanging from each porch, a surprise chandelier over an outside swing for two, a unique artwork of two tree trunks resembling a man and woman, ornate large vases with begonias, and a picturesque view off the dining room with several areas of outdoor seating. The breakfast was stellar (John Mark, the inn keeper, made a delicious quiche). And to top off this, the night before he started an outdoor fire and left everything needed for s'mores, just because my friend asked if there is ever a fire in the fire pit on the initial tour. We enjoyed this stay so much we decided to make it an annual trip!

Fantastic Experience! This Inn is very charming. The host and hostess were very kind through our stay and also accommodating when we arrived early. The room was very spacious and clean. The bed and pillows were nice and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful; 3 fountains, a pond with fish, outdoor games, and many locations to sit and enjoy nature. They have labeled several of the tree types on the property. The Inn is close to historic downtown but may be difficult to walk back up a VERY steep and curvy hill; however an extremely close drive. Breakfast was tasty. In summary, everything was wonderful, I would highly recommend, and I would stay again if in Bryson City.

Lovely B and B in Bryson City. Inn Keepers very friendly and helpful. Room very clean and comfortable but Wi-Fi very weak. Make sure if not able to climb stairs ask for a lower level room. Lots of steps. Open spaces very nice. Breakfast area lovely though we did not eat. They made us a breakfast to go. Coffee very good. Sweet friendly cat on property.

My husband and I housed our wedding party at McKinley Edwards Inn before our wedding in North Carolina. We also used their space for our rehearsal dinner. Janice and the team were so easy to work with and put on a fantastic rehearsal dinner for us. I'd highly recommend their services for small weddings/events in the area!

My friend and I went on a girls’ weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Inn! One of my favorite parts was the beautiful and delicious breakfast that the host prepared every morning. The location was gorgeous and I loved the details in the room. I would highly recommend this inn.
