Great fly shop with a wealth of local information and great service. We got our licenses here and gathered some intel (which helped us get on some fish). Super friendly and great selection of flies that worked for the area. Great selection of products and everything you need (we picked up flies and other gear we left home). If you are from out of town hit this place up and support this local gem. Shops like this are great for the sport and culture.

Went to check the shop out and get a few supplies. Very well organized shop. Talk to the shop help and the kind gentleman told me the Sylvia shop had the rest of what I needed. Headed there and he was correct. Will visit both shops again soon.

Visit to this location today was great! We went to set up guides for a trip and we were assisted by Sarah who was friendly and knowledgeable. She answered all our questions and made recommendations for restaurants as we are new to the area. We will definitely come back here again.

My first stop into new places with fly fishing opportunities is to stop in and chat with the folks at the local tackle shop, buy a few flies, a souvenir hat/t-shirt, etc. I'd like to apologize to the young lady that was running this shop on Thursday for apparently being such an inconvenience to her that day. She was impatient and downright rude when I asked her to suggest some flies/rigs. Luckily after I walked out, I stumbled upon another fly shop 1 block down...the older guy walked me through flies, techniques and gave me multiple spots to begin wading over my 3 day stay.

Tuck Fly Shop is the absolute bet! Stopped in for some advice and flies and got some excellent local fishing recommendations. Also, I didn't realize lower Deep Creek was closed for fishing during our visit so the very informative staff saved me from an expensive encounter with the game warden. Would highly recommend!

Amazing experience floating the Tuck with Bryce. He was helpful, and knowledgeable. He put me on many high teens and low twenty browns. Cannot recommend the float enough.

This is the best shop, hands down. I've been to both the Bryson City and Sylvia locations and every time I've been, the staff has been incredibly helpful. As an out of town guest looking for some insight on the local fly patterns, the team does what every great fly shop should do and gives great advice. On top of all of that, I bought a shirt at the Sylvia location which was the wrong size. The BC team exchanged it, no questions asked, even thought I had already thrown away the receipt. That is exactly why you should shop your local fly shop and this group embodies it like no other.

Great shop and guide service. The TFS crew is always helpful, informative and fun - be sure to check out their podcast. Thanks to Preston for a day of wild rainbows last weekend. Looking forward to getting back on the water soon.

This fly shop is advertising their private waters at Thunderstruck Lodge. Although the owner of the property may have given this shop permission it is not legal per the deed. This property is in a remote private residential community. Within the all of the deeds is the “Fishing rights”. It states the property owner has the rights to fish the creeks and river within the community and can have fishing guest but must accompany their fishing guest while fishing. Without the property owner present everyone is trespassing. Their ad also advertises “All guests will receive guided instruction on the full days at the lodge water or surrounding watershed.” This is all private property. Surrounding watershed means trespassing on someone else property. I have contacted the fly shop multiple times explaining to them they have no fishing rights because they are not the owner of record on the deed.I am an avid fisherman and live in this community. I have no problem with guide services. I was a guide but above all respect for the rights of private property owners is first and foremost.

Can wait to go back for my dads birthday and get him gear! Guy told us the best place to eat was the pizza place right next door. Great suggestion pal! Just wish they had more size selection but with covid I understand getting inventory can be hard...

Giving 5 stars is not a small thing for me. However, I am new to the sport and was intimidated going in to this place for fear of sounding stupid. The staff was fantastic, made me feel good, helped me and answered all my questions. If you are in town you need to patronize this store. Great group of guys!!!
