I went into Walgreens to pick up some 5x7 graduation cards. When I arrived, I gave the lady my last name and asked if I could look at the cards before taking them, since I’ve had issues in the past with the images being cropped—specifically with heads being cut off.
She got noticeably snotty and said, “We don’t touch your photos. We don’t do any editing.” I replied, “I understand that. It’s just that when I’ve ordered pictures online before and then picked them up, something must have gone wrong in the process, and they came out incorrectly.” She then cut me off and said, “Well, you just need to do blah blah blah,” in a dismissive tone. I said, “Okay, fine. No problem.”
She rang me up, and as I was walking toward the door, I looked at my order and realized there were no envelopes included. I turned back and asked, “Do I not get envelopes with these?” She said, “No.” I responded, “Well, that’s not what your website said. So I’d like to get a refund.”
She told me I’d have to show her the website. I pulled it up on my phone, and she said, “Just give me your phone.” I showed it to her, and she immediately grabbed my pictures and walked off. Then she said, “How many do you need?” or something like, “I have to count your photos.” I told her, “I have 40.” She responded, “Well, they’re not going to fit if you don’t let me count them or cut them.”
I honestly don’t understand what the issue was. I’m sorry if she was upset about having to cut the photos or give me the envelopes that I paid for—but wasn’t that part of the service

My local Walgreens has done a good job making sure I get the medication I need and the staff are always friendly and supportive of my needs. The only problem I have with this location is that the pharmacy closes to early and doesn’t have weekend services.

I love the pharmacy! They go the extra mile to help you get your meds and understand them. The associates in the store are very friendly and helpful and the pharmacy is open 6 days a week. I highly recommend the walgreens Burgaw! Vicky Conoly

My toddler started to get extremely constipated this evening, so my husband rushed into town to get her some toddler laxatives from the store as she refused to drink prune juice. He arrived at 8:49pm to find the lights off and the employee locked the door as he pulled into the parking lot. This is extremely upsetting because they have the specific medications in store we needed that Walmart doesn’t. It would be different if he arrived a minute to closing or even a couple minutes but closing more than ten minutes early is ridiculous. Now we have to drive to Wilmington to get what my toddler needs because Walmart doesn’t carry the specific medication.

Don't even bother with this pharmacy.
Pediatrician sent over a prescription around 11am yesterday. (Last time I gave them 3 hrs, before I picked up the prescription and it wasn't ready.) Today, I arrived at the pharmacy around 4:50 (over 24 hrs) and there were 4 other ppl waiting in line. An elderly sitting on the side waiting for his prescription. 5 mins into waiting the cashier told the elderly man "it'll be 20 mins". One the of customer asked the ladies (there were 3) in the back why there isn't another register open. Ladies in the back were laughing and giggling. They were pretending to not hear the customer. Customer was loud enough to hear bc we all heard it. When it was finally my turn, I was told they didn't have a prescription and I told them the prescription was sent over yesterday. Cashier's said it will be 15 mins. I left. The elderly man was still waiting for his prescription. I will not be using this pharmacy again.
I used to go to the Walgreens in Wilmington and they were a lot faster than Burgaw.

Never picks up the phone at the pharmacy, go to pick up prescriptions and they are always out of something, only fill it partially. Its always short staff and slow. A couple weeks ago went to pick up prescription, and pharmacy is closed on the weekends! Done with this pharmacy, taking my scripts to different company.

My first visit here so I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it is ok but the majority of other reviewers definitely disagree. I will edit, update, or leave my review as is contingent on a second visit.

The store itself is fine. The problem I have is that the pharmacy is always packed, and then they are closed on Saturday and Sunday. I feel they need to get a part-time pharmacy because people do get sick on the weekend and need their medicine.

I prepaid for my prescription before I went to pick it up 5 hours after it should have been ready. I still had to wait 15 minutes. I checked my bank account and I got charged twice for one prescription. I will be there in the morning and get my money back!!!pharmacy is not good!!!

Seems like no one in the pharmacy cares about their job. They ALWAYS have a rude attitude and don’t seem to care about serving costumers. The hours change frequently and the place is always behind. Last prescription I got the only reason they filled it was because I stayed in the store and waited. They have been out of medicine I needed and not voiced that, I had to go somewhere else to get my script filled after waiting two hours to find out they didn’t have it. I haven’t heard anyone in this community say positive things about this facility. I live a block away but would rather drive to another town then go to this store. Very disappointing

Called to get a prescription filled was told it would be ready at noon. Drove to Burgaw to pick it up and was then informed they did not have that drug available to fill the prescription. Wow is all I can say!

Very nice people but very poorly managed. They cut back their hours and aren't open on the weekends. This wouldn't be an issue if the prescriptions were filled in a timely manner. It generally takes them 3 to 5 days to fill a prescription. There have been many times my Mom was without her medicine. Our nurse that calls in says they don't answer the phone a lot of the time for call in prescriptions.

For several months now Walgreens in Burgaw has been closed on Saturday and Sundays due to only have one pharmacist. This is very inconvenient. I work at home and I'm at least 35mins away. So since they are only open on Mon - Fri 10am to 6pm, I have to rush at 5 to get there. I always refill my prescriptions a few days before I go just in case if there is any issues. But every time I get there about 5:40 they are swamp. I had to walk in Friday afternoon and there was two people having issues getting a prescription filled. Instead of asking for someone else to help with others in line or ask those 2 to step aside, we had to wait. As we are waiting we see other employees in the pharmacist area running around emptying trash cans and such. Only after waiting for 25 mins in line did one finally volunteer to start helping. I also found out that day Wallace Walgreens Pharmacy was closed that week. Elizabeth Towns Walgreens pharmacy is closed on the weekends too but at least they stay open until 7pm. I can't understand what is going on with Walgreens and I'm about to move everything. I've been with Walgreens for many years but the customer service is awful.
