Dr Anthony and her assistant were very thorough and kind when our Beagle experienced a urinary problem in the middle of the night, He was given all tests and bloodwork to determine his issue. So thankful for their care and help got him,

I've been here with my babies a couple of times and they've always taken great care of them. The last time I went, however, my chihuahua, Paulie, needed help. My baby boy Bentley had died the day before and Paulie, my chihuahua, who was closest to him, started throwing up and acting lethargic. I walked in and there was nobody at the front desk. I called and the lady who answered was only concerned about a 200 dollar payment. I proceeded to explain to her that I was grieving my dog and I thought Paulie might be grieving too, and that I can't lose him, too. I was panicking. I told her that I had left my card at home and that I would go back and get it if they would at least see Paulie, but she refused to see me because the cash I had on me at the time wasn't enough. She didn't offer care credit or any other options when my dog clearly needed help. When she came out, she was rude and looked at me with the most disgraceful look I've ever seen. She saw my dog suffering and turned him away. She was blonde and maybe unhappy bc she didn't look like she cared about animals at all. There were no other cars or clients in that hospital and they still refused to see my dog. The real doctor wasn't there that night, but it seems like the ones who were filling in that night didn't care. I've worked at a few veterinary hospitals and I'm particular about who I will trust to see my babies. I didn't have a good experience and that trust is lost forever. There are good veterinarians, but I don't think this is a good place to go if you love and care about your dog. They even recommended Happy Tails in Greensboro because they didn't want to help my dog. I have been to Happy Tails in the past and it is worth the drive. They do everything they can to help your baby. I didn't feel that they cared here.

This is our second visit to All Paws - thankfully years apart! I only take my pets to an ER hospital when it's an emergency and glad that ER visits (and after hours visits) don't happen often! I didn't catch the name of the first tech we met unfortunately, She was super nice and listened to all of the symptoms we described that our dog was experiencing (believed possible UTI). They needed a urine sample and thankfully Piper was needing to go, so we got the sample quickly and easily. Met Dr. Anthony who was extremely courteous, informative and she explained everything clearly to us. Wonderful vet!! Piper was given an antibiotic injection and we came home with pills for her as well. They told us to watch her and if she wasn't improving in 24 hours to recheck with them or with our regular vet and we should then plan on having blood work and xrays performed. A different tech checked us out and she was also friendly and courteous. (Note-after we got home I called and spoke with this same tech to get a copy of Piper's urinalysis report emailed to us. She said no problem, they usually just send it to a person's regular vet but she'd be happy to copy us as well) Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable and I can tell they care a lot about your furbaby :) I'm glad to have such a wonderful Emergency Vet practice here in Burlington. Thank you Dr. Anthony and staff for caring for Piper!

They have saved my dog twice this month! They are the only ER vet in town so they are busy and have wait times. Just like any Dr, vet or ER office! My dog got bit by a copperhead and they had him feeling better in no time! Thanks Dr. Anthony and team!

Part two to my fiancés (Sarah D.) post....To note, we paid around 260 dollars after taxes for this cremation and the product was far from being done properly. Not only is the information on it wrong but the line isn't even straight. If you are paying that much for a service, you would think a little care would have been taken to ensure a neat and correct product. We miss her more than anything and are absolutely distraught at how this week has played out. I have made a very similar post on my Facebook with photo proof is her urn and my call log and underneath that post, I have had several people state they have had similar experiences with no sense of urgency or care for their pets. I hope they will read this review and take this opportunity to learn from their mistakes so your animals don't experience what ours did. With all of these mistakes, there is absolutely no excuse or apology that could repair the damages we have gone through. I hope changes will be made from here forward because these were very poor business practices that occurred while causing unnecessary and unimaginable pain. With all of these negatives, I will say that the second time we had to go to get the re done urn back the procedure of checking her box to ensure it was correct was a much better process. However, that does not negate all of the negligence that occurred the first time we were there. I feel as though more care was given in carrying her ashes than in her time of need when she had just been hit. I still do not recommend this vet but I did want to point out that after I had made a big ordeal about how this situation was handled the attitudes of this staff did change slightly. I do not know if there was a note left in our file and that is why the change occurred but I did at least want to mention it. Use your best form of judgment when deciding if this is the place for your pet but please read all of the reviews and take them into consideration because I have not heard one nice thing about this vet from friends and family. We would give this place zero stars if we could!!!

PLEASE READ THIS WHOLE REVIEW. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT AND MIGHT BE ABLE TO HELP YOUR FUR BABY SINCE OURS WASN'T!!!! There will be two parts between my fiancé and I but this is part one!! We are so beyond frustrated with All Paws Pet Emergency Hospital in Burlington. Poppy my dog passed away a week ago from being hit by a car and we decided that cremation was our best option. They told us once she arrived back in about a week (a week being today) they would give us a call. I called this morning to see if she had arrived yet and they said she did and we could pick her up but I never received a call stating she was back. So once we got there I asked them to check the system to see when she had arrived and they told us it was June 29th that she had come back. We went THREE DAYS without being notified that they had her ashes back. We obviously were upset about it but we let it go because mistakes happen. We both get in the car to check everything only to find that the information they put on her urn is wrong!! She passed away June 25th and her urn says it was June 24th. We then call back to inform them of said mistake and they explain that they are supposed to check these things to make sure everything is correct and they are not sure how this happened. I am not sure either because clearly they had three days to check this and it doesn't seem it was done at any point. While on the phone I asked again to ensure they will actually call me this time when the new urn is received. They tell me they will put a note in the file but claim that their system shows they attempted to call when she arrived. I have my phone log to prove we never received this call. Then they try to explain that they do believe the call must have not come through and they have had issues with their phones lately so it's probably their fault. It is shocking to me that knowing there are issues with their phones and it is not fixed, especially when the only way to get into the building is by calling. I am also just baffled that if they did actually try to call but didn't reach us why was a voicemail not left and or a second attempt was not made to contact us a day or two later. Even an email would have been nice. I had to put my email on there when I filled out the cremation form so I know they had it. Some form of contact would have been nice so we could get our girl back and nothing was received. I only found out she was ready for pickup because I had called this morning. I don't understand why a better effort was not made to contact us and there is no compensation being made on our part for all these mistakes. We even had to bring up the possibilities of what should be done next. Once she had passed and we were allowed to see her they just stared at us. Two of the people back there said nothing to us and the one that "helped" us just stared at us while we were saying goodbye. They gave us no options for the next steps until I asked what to do now because obviously, we couldn't bring her home in her condition. This is absolutely ridiculous and we are so hurt from all of these issues that occurred. All we wanted was for this sudden loss to be situated smoothly and it has been nothing but an issue. I wasn't even going to mention this but I am so frustrated I will. I also feel as though we were dismissed when we arrived with our emergency. We explained what happened and all they did was check to find a heartbeat and say I'm sorry when they couldn't find it. We then asked "That's it? She's just gone" and they said we will take her to the Dr. to verify and about 3-5 minutes later they came out to confirm she was gone. I am obviously not a vet so I don't know much about these procedures but I don't feel like any life-saving measures were taken to try and save her. I feel as though it was just an oh she's gone and we're sorry about your loss but that's all we got. I wish I could have seen or heard some form of CPR or something being done to help. I was not back there w

I would like to say what a professional, compassionate and caring experience I had with Dr. Tickle and staff on Sunday, 2/19/23. Their expertise was displayed as I brought what to me is my “child”, into this facility for end of life care. This was one of the hardest things I ever had to do! My head knew one thing and my heart broke! Dr Tickle was very compassionate and comforting to me and to my dog. I know I did what was right and knowing that they understood was very comforting to me. I could not ask for a better place to go in an emergency situation for animal care.

I took my dog here after she got attacked by my neighbors dogs that are really big & my dog is really small. They looked at her & they give her medicine & it cost us $500 just for them to look & give her medicine & they wanted to do x-rays & give her medicine to make sure she lays down & which would of cost us more money that we didn't have we got send home with medicine. There is so much I could say about this but I was not satisfied with my visit at all

Had to take my precious kitty Sam to All Paws Emergency on March 8, 2022. Dr Sharon Anthony did an excellent job explaining Sam’s situation after bloodwork and X-rays. She showed me the bloodwork and Xrays and informed me of my options. Unfortunately I had to make a decision to let my baby go. But Dr Anthony and tech Brianna were so caring and kind. Most importantly, both me and my precious Sam were treated with respect and dignity in a very difficult situation.

We were faced with the decision to put our dog to sleep. She had liver disease and was having multiple seizures. The vet talked with us with much sympathy as well as the two technicians. They sedated her and gave us time alone with our sweet one. The next week we received a letter of sympathy from the vet and the techs, which was totally a surprise. We appreciated this so much and will always remember their care for not only our pet, but for my husband and I.

Im am inexperienced cat dad and called in today (Memorial Day) when all other vets were closed to get an idea of their wait times and emergency fees. I've had my 8 week old rescue kitten for only two days and am still learning how to care for her slight fever and conjunctivitis. The lady I spoke with on the phone was so helpful and kind and spoke with the doctor to get me medical advice and walk me through steps I should take to care for my kitty. I'm so thankful for the kindness of strangers

Our cat was struggling to breathe and originally we thought she was choking. We got here and they took her right away while we got paperwork filled out. Ultimately it was an asthma attack. They told us it would cost more than what it actually did. I would recommend them to everyone

Went around 10 pm on a Sunday night after our dog ripped his dew claw off and was bleeding and in pain. They took him right away and called me serval times with updates to let me know how he is doing and how much each procedure would cost. I was there for about 30 minutes total. The staff were all very nice and made me feel comfortable handing my dog over to them. The price was significantly cheaper than an emergency vet I called in Durham first. Very satisfied!
