We traveled 5 1/2 hours from Baltimore, Maryland, to purchase a Rav4 from Cox Toyota, and what a wonderful experience! "Excellent Service!" Daniel Rodriguez was great to work with and went above and beyond to secure our desired SUV and ensure top quality. He also kept me well-informed along the way about timing and next steps. It was a pleasure working with him, and if you're looking to purchase your next vehicle, ask for Daniel Rodriguez, he's your man! By the way, I can leave out Jawanza Moseley, Finance Manager, who was extremely informative, patient, and friendly. It was a pleasure working with him on financing my third Rav4. I will not be returning to Cox Toyota as long as Nate Issel is the service manager. Under his leadership, the service department has gone downhill fast. On my most recent experience the following happened:First, our car was returned to us with huge amounts of oil covering the seats and steering wheel (see pictures). Second, without telling me they would do so, they charged 4% for paying with a credit card (on a ~$1600 bill, this was not insignificant). Third, when I brought these issues to the service rep's attention, he told me he'd refund the $100 (~$35 for the inconvenience and ~ $65 to offset the 4%); however, when I spoke with Nate (the manager), he told me he would NOT honor the $100 that had been promised beforehand, as that was "too much" since he wanted to "keep his job." Instead, said he would refund only the 4%, but even then, he didn't calculate the amount correctly, only refunding a portion of what he said he would. Finally, Nate has clearly instructed his team to try to sell unnecessary services to their customers. They pushed hard for me to get new tires when my tires had PLENTY of tread remaining. They also claimed I had a "bad oil leak," but this car is garage-kept and we haven't had one drop of oil show up on our garage floor.Again, if Cox Toyota wants my business back, they'll need to get rid of Nate Issel.

It amazes me that when you go to the website and click reviews they are all positive and no negative. However, when you go to other sites including GOOGLE, there are tons of Negative reviews. My Experience was HORRIBLE. The service I received stinks. From the website you do a pre-approval. After filling out the information and getting an approval from CHASE, we called the next day to see what we need to do next. Gene called back and started verifying information from the credit app because Chase is NO longer a lender. Wife said in that case, DO NOT PULL CREDIT. We have decided to use our bank. Gene said "WE WILL NOT PULL IT". I get an email that there is a new credit inquiry on my credit. I HAD 4 inquiries. Wife texted Gene and he wouldn't respond. So she called him and he wouldn't talk to her. He transferred her to John. John said yes we pulled your credit. She told John, "I spoke with Gene and told him NO". John said "Well, we did and then transferred her to Austin. We were really interested in the car so we decided to go ahead and drive the 3 1/2 hrs from Tennessee to test drive it. Wife told Austin she wanted floor mats or it was not a deal. He laughed and said "we will get you floor mats." And kept saying "I WILL GET YOU SOME MATS." After we paid, he said, "Oh we don't have floor mats." The Floor mats are not a big deal, but our credit being pulled 4 times after being told it will not be pulled is a HUGE Deal. He also had us sign that he gave us a tour of the dealership that NEVER happened. This is a Dealership I will NEVER step foot in again.

My new 2018 Tacoma turned out to be a lemon. I was offered most of my money back minus mileage.

Need a part for my Toyota with a price of $83 MSRP by Toyota. I went the parts department at Cox and was quoted $119. I questioned the price vs MSRP and the response was... "we don't have to sell anything here at MSRP, we sell it for what we want." Told him ok and thanks but no thanks and bought the part from Modern Toyota in winston salem for $68. I understand wanting to make a profit. MSRP has a nice markup to accommodate that. Greed is one of the deadly sins and it killed any future business with Cox Toyota.

I was looking for a car earlier this year and worked with a salesman for awhile. In the end, another dealership ended up with the car I wanted. I wish I could have bought from this dealership as they were very good about staying connected and were driven towards finding me a car. I will use them for service for now on. I had my first service and their waiting room is pretty nice and spacious. The staff are friendly and professional.

I used to have a lot of confidence and trust in Cox Toyota, actually purchased a new Prius from them in 2013, and drove to their dealership for servicing, even though though it was like 25 miles out of my way. However, after several "letdowns," my feelings about Cox have changed. It started in 2020, when I was shopping for a top-of-the-line Camry hybrid. The salesperson with whom I was connected (a) seemed to know less about my prospective vehicle and its features than I, (b) acted totally unenthusiastic about the sale, and (c) essentially told me that he didn't know if he could even locate the vehicle I desired. Needless to say, I purchased the vehicle from another area dealership. Then, in July of this year, I phoned to make an appointment for my final Toyota-Care servicing on my 2020, confirmed this servicing would be at no charge, and brought my vehicle in at the appointed day / time. When the work was completed, they presented me with a bill. Only after I objected, and explained that their Service Advisor had previously stated there would be no charge, was the charge dropped. Why the internal miscommunication? During this same service appointment, I mentioned that my TPMS light was illuminated on my instrument cluster, but the tires seemed fine. The technician finally came into the waiting room, told me that there was a slow leak in one of my tires, and that I would need a new tire. I declined purchasing a tire from Cox because I didn't believe a replacement seemed warranted. Instead, I took it to a local auto service shop with which I was familiar. They quickly discovered a very small nail (they showed it to me), plugged the tire, and said it would be just fine. I think Cox's "solution" speaks of either laziness or just trying to upsell a customer, rather than "doing what is right." I don't trust companies that behave in this manner.

We were in a jam with both our cars being in the shop and we were able to get a rental in less that 30 minutes. Saved us a lot of stress! Very affordable prices and a local business! Thank you!

Not a good dealership to go to if you expect professional customer service after the sale of an over $30,000 vehicle. Especially when they tell you that you need to call them if you have any questions or needs after the sale

Service department is predatory. This is a large, local, family run business and we trusted them for our daughters Corolla. She went in for a standard oil change and came out with a $460 tab. These guys sold her a fuel injection service and an induction cleaning to the tune of $320 on a 2017 car with 29k miles. I thought she would have known better, but I also trusted that this service department was honest. When I spoke to Chris Ellis in the service department, he stood by this behavior, and stated that Mr. Cox himself would have approved if this had happened to his grandchildren. This is not how you build trust with customers or retain their business. My daughter has learned an expensive lesson and you have become just another shotty maintenance dept. Thanks for nothing.

Took my car in to replace a part I knew was broken. They gave me a quote to replace everything in that area and it would have cost me $800+ Took it elsewhere and paid $30 for the part. Car runs perfectly without all the extras. People always talk about how dealers rip people off. I am proof that they tried. The other dealer says there was nothing wrong with the parts Cox said needed replacing.

Called at 2:25pm to make a maintenance appointment, was told there was a 3:00pm appointment available today. I decided to take the appointment, drove straight there, arrived at 2:50pm and was told they were 2 1/2 hours "BEHIND ON APPOINTMENTS"!!! Shocked, I explained that I just made the appointment 25 minutes ago!!! Everyone was very apologetic, but "REALLY"!!!

My experience working with Bryan Coats at Cox Toyota was great . He was very helpful, knowledgeable, upbeat, professional and explained all the features on the car in great depth. He takes care of his customers and wants to make them happy by meeting their car needs . I recommend Bryan to anyone who is looking to purchase a car . He is the best !
