Never had to use a tech service before. We were required to make an appointment to drop off and to pick up. The staff was very friendly and informative. The price was moderately high but no service anywhere is cheap. They did do more than required.

I came in today 7/16/22 with a broken Nintendo switch my nephew received for Christmas trying to exchange it under the two year warranty that was purchased with it. I spoke with a Best Buy manager who directed me to the geek squad team where I encountered the RUDEST individual working the counter. Derrick was RUDE, had an attitude and even began to raise his voice after I asked a question to better understand the claims process. NEVER again will I ever approach this counter or use this location as long as he’s an employee on duty.

I was recommended to The Geek Squad by a young lady at Grace Wireless in Graham NC because I needed a service done that they could not provide. The customer service man at The Geek Squad could not work on my phone because they are not Samsung certified. Although he could not work on my phone, he explained how the process worked and recommended me to UBREAKIFIX. Great customer service.

Went in for an iPad replacement under AppleCare and received a used iPad with 2 HUGE scratches on the screen the following day. Unfortunately I didn’t find out until I got home (I live an hour away). I called Apple and they remedied the problem ASAP (which I should have done from the beginning).

They charge to much for their service. But at least they know how to do things.

Geek Squad is not there to help people, its simply there to collect money from people who think that because it's Best Buy, they won't get ripped off and taken advantage of. My neighbor who is a senior citizen went to best buy because a screw came out of her laptop. Geek squad was going to charge her $85 to take it in and just "send it off for 15 days" then charge her up to $300 to "fix" it. All it needed was a screw!!! I put the screw in for her for free, something they could've done easily. Anyone who takes their laptop to the geek squad is getting ripped off. Its very disappointing to see businesses do that to senior citizens.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE TAKE YOUR COMPUTER HERE OR TO ANY GEEK SQUAD FOR REPAIR! -When my Asus laptop started showing signs of a failing video card, I first called Asus. They said since I purchased it from best Buy, Best Buy would have to handle the repair process. I took the laptop to Best Buy, telling them that Asus agreed that the video card was failing, etc. Geek Squad, however, knows better, and ran their own diagnostics, in house. They told me I had "a virus", and they would clean up the system for a mere $160. For a system they said "might show traces of...and we'd have to rule this out, before looking for hardware issues". I thought they were nuts, and took the laptop home, knowing I did not have a virus, but dutifully running scans, and making sure the system was clean. I reinstalled Windows, giving Best Buy a clean slate to work with. Had I allowed Best Buy to do the simple virus scan and clean up (not that there was anything to clean up), I would've been $160 poorer. I took the laptop back to Geek Squad in Best Buy, where they agreed to send it off -to a Geek Squad service center -wonder of wonders, they couldn't find this mysterious virus and the failing video card (evidenced by "archiving") persisted. My laptop came back with a video card which, in the ten minutes I was in the store with it, appeared to function. However, the mouse pad, not previously broken, was no longer in working condition. The buttons did not work, and actually depressed all the way in. The laptop was sent back. This time, when it came back, I simply opened it, thinking it would be easy to tell if the mousepad had been repaired. It had been, even thought the repair order said "no repairs needed". I brought the laptop home, hit the power button, and got...a bright white screen. that's it. And what does Geek squad want? me to sent it back to them -AGAIN! At this point, I don't even know if Asus would warranty the damage done by this repair center. It has gone from a replacement video card, to broken mouse pad, to what? a broken monitor? I don't even know. All I know is...this is beyond ridiculous. they have managed to royally screw up a less-than-one-year-old laptop which I paid almost $1300 for. *Goooo Geek Squad!*
