Niche store with used books, new unique gift items, coffee bar, and plenty of reading nooks. Great prices; beautiful but cozy atmosphere; kids area and 3 levels to browse. Friendly & helpful staff and owners.

Love this place so much. Just an awesome used bookstore with amazing prices. They don't always have something that I want to buy, but I still always want to stay in there forever regardless. They do have an excellent selection.

Very cool building with a lot of very cool old books. They have new as well. Lady behind counter was super nice and knows her stuff. They have a coffee bar and several places to lounge and hand out. Don’t have anything cool like Persnickety in Winston or I would be hanging out in there all the time.

Persnickety Books is a locally owned independent bookstore featuring new and used books along with gifts and locally made crafts. We accept donations and trade-ins for all types of books. Donations to the store help support our literary outreach including local jobs, reading programs, and books-to-prisons charity.
