I have been a good customer for appx 18 yrs., my dad died 2 weeks ago and he gave me a cashiers check before he died. DJ Bailey, the mgr., accused me of trying to pass a bad check! Per DJ, He took my check, in his car to another bank, where these 2 dummies decided the bank written check was bad!!!?? I was treated like a criminal and he refused to investigate the check to clear it. He wanted it to be bad!! It wasn’t. I opened a new account at the other bank. (Even though they don’t deserve my business either, after the two guys decided it was bad.) I used to love this bank, even with the horrible hours. No more… big shock, DJ is leaving this week…it was obvious he didn’t care about his customers at that point. He was so rude and unprofessional! Please read this…new employers of DJ Bailey. This is the service he will provide as your new manager.? (THE CHECK WAS GOOD, RIGHT DJ??) Now, you know, even though it took me hours on the phone to prove it, because no one wants to make calls to anyone else! Must have sucked for you to find out you were WRONG!!!! Enjoy your new job!!!

the staff is great i been with this bank since 2009 and I never had 1 issue with this bank ever and you can not Waiting in line at any bank is the norm. Just because 1 customer had a bad experience and not get their way does not mean IT THE WORST BANK kudos to the staff at the garden road location in Burlington NC i loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this bankkkkkkkkkkkkkk

I spent over an hour trying to reach several local branches at multiple points throughout the day and not once was the phone answered at any of them. I then had to wait to speak with a rep. That wait time exceeded 2 hours. I elected to be called back. Was never called back

When my house burnt down my uncle gave me a check from another bank but Woodforest refused to cash it so my family went hungry that night.Then a few days ago we got a tax check and we went to Woodforest to cash it because we both have accounts there. The manager "BJ" came out and said he could not cash our check unless we put half in each account. I told him he was a "chico" meaning boy. He yells at me to get off his property and then yells for Walmart to call their security on my husband and me saying we were cussing him. We did not threaten him in anyway. But he was making a big seen running around yelling for security. We cashed out check at WalMart.

I have to say this is the WORST experience I have had with any bank I have ever dealt with. I had an issue that took several days to get fixed at the start of opening my account. They did not make feel appreciated nor did they seem to want my business. I would NOT recommend banking with them and I would STRONGLY urge you to avoid this company altogether.
