New owners ruined this store, the candy) food is old. Won't turn the pumps on unless you pre pay, which is hard to do if your on a motorcycle. Even the pizza tastes bad, I won't be back here. Seems like the business has really dropped off..

Nice store they are modernizing it including the gas pumps I myliked the old fashion feel of the way it was but I guess progress is finally reached out sleepy little town. The pizza is great on problem I see things are not marked with price tags and you have to wonder why then you go to check out and you know .well I wish the store luck but it has to remember it's location and who will or won't be shopping there. So I give the store a mixed review. The gas pumps are loud and sound like they will blow up any time and they are brand new supposedly.they don't have your gas price /per gallon price on them either. There is another store that is still old time if you would like to see down the road it's B&Grocery but the locals call it Burls store..it's a out 4 miles down the road towards Carolina Hemlocks Campground. So there are your choices and wait there is one more store near the parkway near the fire department not sure the name but you can't miss it it's right on the Rd it's a combo of old and new .and those are your choices unless you drive all the way to town. Enjoy your stay .

When pizza is on the evening's agenda, Hunt Bro's pizza is the #1 choice. Think it's the sauce or maybe the brand of the chz, but it's a consistenly delicious.

Super helpful and friendly staff. Plus the Hunts Brothers pizza can't be beat. Ordered a large pizza when I got there & was put the door with 3 drinks and the pizza for $15 and some change. They also accept EBT even for the pizza and food ordered and I've found that super awesome and helpful on a night that I couldn't cook!

We're so glad we have Poplar Grove out here on 80south. My family has found the staff to be just fine, they've been friendly and helpful if we need it.
