Dollar General in the area offers a mix of positive experiences and areas for improvement. The store is generally clean, with stock well off the floor, and boasts some of the area's best operating hours. Customers appreciate the helpful and courteous staff, especially noting a manager who consistently offers assistance and works hard to support shoppers with limitations. This attentive attitude has left a lasting impression on customers, who feel well cared for during their visits. Employees like Mary have been recognized for their friendly and efficient service at the register, making shopping more pleasant. However, not all reviews are perfect; one customer was disappointed to see an employee with his pants down, which seemed unprofessional. Despite this, the store's overall environment appears welcoming and customer-focused. The store also actively supports the community, notably through contributions to the local food pantry. Overall, Dollar General in this area is seen as a helpful, community-oriented store with friendly staff and good service, though maintaining professionalism and cleanliness remains important for continued positive impressions.
First thing I see is an employee with his pants all the way down his butt, covering his underwear. Come on now, I thought that was becoming out of style. Not professional at all. The store is cleaner and stock was off of the floor, glad they are hiring more people now.

The General Dollar store is an excellent community partner and does a great job supporting the Butner Church Council food pantry. Mary Stearns is to be commented for her generosity and support of the community.
