Buxton Village Books is a charming, small, and magical bookshop that feels like a hidden gem and a tradition for many visitors. It offers a great and huge selection of all genres for vacation reading, including new, old, and used books. The shelves are packed with character, featuring beach reads, local interest books about the Cape Hatteras area and Outer Banks, titles by local authors, children's favorites, hard-to-find gems, and unique surprises. The shop is thoughtfully curated with a delightful kids' section, art supplies, and unique gifts and cards. The owner is warm, welcoming, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. While the store is very small and can be hard to get around inside, and parking is limited and a little rough, it remains an absolute treasure and a must-visit place that holds a special place in the hearts of its customers.
