I've happily shopped many times at Nells and been pleased however my last 2 trips including today have been intolerable. The staff has been nasty and rude and I even bought something today. A few months ago my sister and I went in and were absolutely sneered st when we asked about an item. The attitude of you can't afford that prevailing. My sister is and was done. Today I am wearing Lilly P . AS I'm standing at the counter and Grant you I should have walked I was asked did I want to try on my item. No thank you. Then I was asked you realize we are a consignment store and there are no returns.I say I am aware as I have shopped here before. Lastly I needed cash ... did I have cash? Then she was 2 cents off and looked over without even an apology demanding 2 more pennies. THAT was my cue to have dropped the dress and moved on.AGAIN THE SMUG YOU CANT AFFORD US ATTITUDE! So beware my friends and interested prospects you will be judged. I work hard for my pay and try to choose wisely where I spend my money. I really don't know what happened to this place since Fall of 2024 but I will never darken that doorstep again and promise to share my experience widely. Yall have a nice day now.

Shopped there approximately 1 month ago for the 1st time looking for a formal dress for a wedding in Nashville and fortunately did not have the same unpleasant customer service experience as others who reviewed. I would have likely walked out too. However, the young lady (formerly living in England) was a delight to everyone shopping that day and walked around helping all of us. One lady was steaming and prepping inventory. The other lady was headed to lunch but brought me a formal black and white lace dress to try on in the fitting room saying “it is gorgeous and your size”. She was right but too long in length for me. I shopped mostly on my own which I prefer, tried on several items and bought 4 dresses (casual and dressy). Just wish they offered bags to take your things home! Seems silly that they don’t. Will bring my own next time and look forward to a 2nd visit at Nell’s.

Went into store was basically " snubbed " by the workers ! Never been treated so rude. I am local & wanted to check the place out. Have no idea why the " snobbish attitude " toward customers who make their business but I definitely won't be back.Im a true southern mannerly lady & believe in manners. To be honest I could buy this business in the blink of an eye if I was intrested ! But I assure you some employees with manners would be employed there not what I was met with & I believe the main lady was the owner sad to say. Always remember where you come from you're Never better than anyone else kindness Never hurt anyone . Here today gone tomorrow.

I took my mother here for Mother's Day. I have to say she bought something, loved everything. But no one spoke to us. I guess maybe I didn't fall under what they think they're clientele should look like but I didn't appreciate the what I thought like was stuck up, Because trust me, we could have bought a lot more, I walked out...Maybe they could try smiling and greeting everyone. No matter what they look like because it doesn't mean anything, try being nice and not judging

You have to shop and see for yourself. Sometimes so much and other times maybe not. Clothes are always changing and great customer service.

We (my Fiancée, my sister, and I) walked in and were greeted by a woman (not sure if it was "Nell"). She immediately told us that it was a high end lady's consignment shop and told my fiancée which items were on sale and that there was a lounge chair in the back for men. She then asked us if we had any questions and I said yes and asked if there was a rest room. There was a delay and then she replied yes but it's for customers. My fiancée and I were both puzzled and offended. Were the three of us not customers (or potential customers)? And cannot a man shop for a gift for a female? We cut our visit short and spent our money elsewhere. We will share our experience with our friends and neighbors.
