“I purchased a 2018 Ford Escape in July 2023 for my daughter who was going to college. There were high miles on the vehicle but checking the car fax the vehicle was in for routine maintenance, so the mileage was highway mileage. The car was very clean even under the hood. I dealt with Keith who was more than friendly. Took the car home and the check engine light came on. Called Keith and he said to bring the car back and they will take care of it. Got the vehicle back and about a week or so the check engine light came on again. Took it back and again they fixed the issue. They replaced the coils. A few weeks later and the check engine light came on again. I took it to a Ford dealership, who stated there was coolant intrusion in the engine. After I did some research, I found out this was a design flaw from Ford. I spoke with the Ford dealership. They stated it was out of warranty, 7 years or 84,000 miles. They said if Ford Corporate authorized the fix, they would replace the engine. I spoke with Ford and they stated it was up to the dealership, if the dealership said it was out of warranty, there was nothing they could do. Nice going Ford! Through this entire process I spoke with Keith and Tim, the owner. Tim spoke with Ford with no success. A new engine was put in the vehicle. Tim chipped in some money towards the new engine and had a reputable mechanic install the new engine, instead of Ford installing the engine which would have cost more money. Tim went above and beyond trying to make things right. Which he didn't have to do. In my opinion he does business the right way! I would recommend buying a used car from 1st Choice Auto.”
