If you visit this grocery store I suggest you do not waste your time and money on seafood unless you buy it frozen. On three separate occasions I have bought shrimp, salmon, and scallops from the seafood department only to find out when I get home they were bad. This last time the scallops smelled so bad it made my refrigerator and my house smell! When I returned the items I was given twice my money back which is nice, but I'd rather get food that wasn't bad. I almost always get my seafood from local fish markets such as Willis on Emerald Isle, and Clyde Phillips in Swansboro. It was only for my convenience that I bought at Lowes and I will never buy from them again. There was no mention on any of these occasions that the seafood dept would be notified about the item being brought back, which also bothers me because shouldn't they check on what they have in stock to make sure it's fresh for other customers? Not impressed. I also bought aged ribeyes and asked for 2 steaks about 10 oz each, and was given 1 lb total...so 4 oz less than what I asked for. Next time I will ask to speak directly to the butcher so I can make sure the request is being relayed correctly.

Have not been here in a while but dashed in to get some chicken salad and croissants for my lunch. Lowes Foods has the best chicken salad. The store has been rearranged so I had fun looking at all the new stuff. They have a bar area which I have heard lots of good things about. The deli section looks great. So many take out items for lunch. I wish I lived closer to be able to enjoy the lunch items. I know this store is higher priced than Food Lion or Wal mart but some of the items are worth the higher price. This store is CLEAN! I self checked out which I never do, but the lines were long and they staff shorthanded. The only disappointment was they did not take cash, so I had to use my credit card. I will drive all the way out here the next time I want chicken salad.

It's a great store and very nice people. The reason I gave them 3 stars: I, like many other people, do not like being watched and stared at and feeling someone's hot breath on me while I'm at self checkout. I completely understand inventory and asset control. However, I do not enjoy feeling someone staring at my every move like I'm some thief. If your employees treat everyone like that, then don't be surprised how much business you start losing.

Love this store. The layout, the design, the options (and there's alot of it) all of it. I wish I had a nice store like this back home. I really can't say enough how many options of food and cuisine there is! Such an awesome store

An amazing grocery store. Every specialty department is outstanding - bakery, meat, deli and beer/wine/coffee bar. I'd move here to be closer to this store. The employees are all Exemplary. Respectful and helpful. I can't say enough good things.

Take out was better than I was expecting. You see the hot food in the case that has been sitting for a bit. So my expectations were not very high. But the gentleman behind the counter was most helpful and the food was plentiful and tasty!

Lowe's advertises Apple, Cherry and Hickory Wood smoked meat; however, they only do Hickory smoked anything! Asking for anything else is problematic. I got attitude asking for Apple wood smoked ribs! Go to Mission barbecue...Or do it yourself! Not worth the attitude and not tasty!!
