Great selection of materials. Staff was very helpful. Took a class and everything was well organized, lunches were amazing - will definitely look for more opportunities to visit Mulberry Silks.

I've gone to Mulberry Silks for decades with my family. It is one of the staples of Carrboro and one of the best fabric shops in North Carolina if not the nation! I went there to buy several bolts of fabric and spent about 5+ hours in the store. The customer service is unmatched. Susan and Patricia we very patient, kind, and helpful in picking out the best fabrics and notions needed for the project. Thank you!

Got the brush off when inquiring about sewing classes. Teacher did not want me in her class. I am a 72 year old male. The rest of the store is first class.

Great service and selection of custom niche fabrics. Thanks for the special help this week when my wife needed additional small fabric for dress. We got through in the pouring rain :) with fast cut on our piece.

I came here looking for fabric for an outfit for a big occasion, and was not disappointed! I found the perfect color, material, and style! Everyone was kind and helpful, especially Susan, and even worked with me to get the material sent to my home on time! Super responsive as well - I could not recommend more! Not to mention the store is super cute and cozy...

Helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly owner. Mant different fabrics (yes, quilting fabric too!) Nice selection of sewing notions, and a limited but beautiful group of wool fabrics on big rolls!

This store is amazing. The fabrics are nothing like those offered at the big box stores and I wouldn't go anywhere else to buy fabric for clothing. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful not matter what you're looking for. We are so lucky to have this store in the Triangle.

I feel so lucky to live about 10 minutes away from this store. They have the very best selection of fabrics and patterns and friendly and knowledgeable staff. They always seem to have the perfect fabric for my project and they have given me valuable advice on projects that have not even used their fabric. Several times I've gone into the shop with my daughter and they have been so kind to her: giving her ribbon or showing her fabric. They also have the best selection of notions. You will definitely find what you need here!

I literally am sitting in my vehicle feeling sad that I even have to give this place a star. I went into this shop as I am knitting a baby blanket for babies at the local hospital that I'm a Nurse at and wanted to add silk because it is known to be great for babies skin and I was never addressed accept with looks of disgust by customers who greeted me with frowning eyes. I was even followed to my vehicle and pointed at by two women from the store. I was never asked despite me walking around the counter attempting to find help. It is sad that this type of behavior is still acceptable but I will take my business elsewhere. It reminded me of places with white only signs only it was in the service not provide and hate within the eyes of the community there.... the invisible line drawn.

This is a lovely shop with designer (Dolce & Gabbana, Versace are just two options that I saw this week) fabrics to make high end quality clothes, including wedding and other fancy dresses. The cheapest yardage I saw was $30 a yard, up to $100+ per yard. While this is a higher price point than Joann's, the quality is *significantly* better. I think they could probably color match any zipper with their extensive selection and have a wide variety of buttons. There are a few paper pattern options by indy designers Sew Liberated, 100 Acts of Sewing, Papercut Patterns, The Assembly Line, Paper Theory along with Burda. The reason this is a four and not a five star review was the lack of welcome and customer service when I visited. I felt that I was putting upon someone just asking them where a specific type of fabric was.
