My wife and I are way into antiques. We have been looking for a new spot in the area, and I stumbled across Oddities and Such from Google. We stopped in today, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have found this spot. This is such a cool place, filled to the brim with carefully curated treasures and we felt honored to look around. But, if I’m being honest, our time with Big Red really made our day. Richard is a wonderful guy who cheerfully greeted us at the door. We struck up a conversation and ended up finding he likes orange soda. We had to run to the ATM to get cash (this place is cash only) and we picked him up an ice cold orange soda as a little surprise. In our conversation, I found out that our birthdays are one day apart. He started calling me Little Red (because of my red hair) and shared stories with us about his childhood and his past adventures. All in all, today we left this shop feeling excited for the wonderful things we found and fulfilled from the time we got to spend with our new friend, Big Red. Seriously, I’ll be back like once a week now, not only to check out the new finds but to check in on one of the coolest guys I have ever met.

Had been meaning to stop by since we moved here about a year ago and finally did today! Very friendly owner and a lot of great furniture pieces as well as neat knickknacks too! Had wonderful conversation with the owner and even learned a bit about Carrboro/Chapel Hill (: Highly recommend stopping in.

Drove 1 and 1/2 to get here and they decide to close early as we were walking up.Rude and unprofessional. Taking my money elsewhere. Won’t be back.

My husband and I took the day for antiquing and we ran across Odyssey and Such. Definately full of vintage and antiques. We found some vintage building blocks, Lego type, for our grandson, from the seventies. The owner, Richard, was very interesting and a pleasure to speak with. Loved his story of the peach tree growing next to his building ! ?

This place is fun to visit. It's run by a man who opened it in 1960s. He tells you several stories about the area and his store.

Disappointed. Place reeked of cigarette smoke which means that all furniture will permentantly smell like smoke. Everything was super dusty and lots of stuff was hidden in the cabinets so you couldn't see it unless you looked. It was super small (which wouldn't normally be a problem but paired with all of this...) and didn't have much I liked. Most of the stuff (except furniture) seemed junky and not-taken-care-of. Granted, I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner like most others suggested, and wasn't looking for antique furniture, so if you're looking for that it could be nice, but generally, I'd say try somewhere else. Should be named after the furniture it sells so people don't come in expecting other things.

Owner Michael is warm spirited with quite the collection of finds. Each has a story that he might be able to share. And as anyone who has delved in antiques knows, all treasure troves require a little digging/dusting.
