The friendliest cashier I've had in a long time!

I came to this shop to pick up a get well soon balloon for a friend and ended up finding lots of great things for an upcoming holiday. It was a clean and well stocked shop.
Unfortunately, one of the employees was VERY sick and as much as I tried to signal that I did not want to be around her, put on a mask and specifically requested another clerk to help me check out, she still came over and immediately started touching and bagging all of the items I wanted to purchase. Great customer service, just couldn’t have been more visibly upset if I tried.
I have young children and did not want to expose them to what sounded like pneumonia! She could not stop coughing and looked very ill.
This review is more for corporate than anything because I know your employees are underpaid and she was just doing her job. But please do better for your employees so that they can take a MUCH needed sick day and not expose all of your customers to serious illness for daring to shop there.

My son and I visited the Dollar Tree in Carthage, NC yesterday. I loved this Dollar Tree when they first opened some years back. And this was my second time visiting in a long time. There were two workers there. One of them was a young gentleman, and the other worker, she was a short stocky African American lady with a peach colored shirt on. No discrimination here, because I'm African American as well. She made my son and I very uncomfortable while shopping. She was working the cash register, but mainly putting things up on certain aisles in the back of the store. I asked her if the store had an item that I couldn't find or did they have it in stock. She acted like she didn't really want to help me. My son picked up on her nasty attitude. We stopped down one of the aisles because I was looking for a certain card in my wallet and in my pocket book to make sure I had it out before heading up to the register to pay. The lady started watching us from one end of the aisle and then my son noticed her going to the other end of the aisle, watching us again as if we were stealing something. He got annoyed and told me she had been watching us for awhile. She didn't think we noticed her doing that since we had been in the store. We proceeded to go to check out to pay for the items that we did have in our buggy and she walked from the back of the store up to the cash register so fast, beating us up there, smh. So I went to the other worker's (the young gentleman) register to get my items rung up, because I didn't want deal with the lady and her attitude as well as her watching us as if we were thieves. I called to the store today and let one of store managers know what happened yesterday with our shopping experience there and the description of what the lady worker looked like. She apologized and said she was going to look at the schedule find out who the lady was that was working (her name as well), and talk to her about it. I love shopping at stores but when there are employees working there, making your shopping experience very uncomfortable, it is very annoying, offensive, and definitely not okay at all!

The new dollar the tree next to Planet Fitness next to PetSmart/Ross shopping center is nice! Fresh, new, organized, and different options. However these peanuts variety I picked up was pare the grade..was really looking forward to a variety! Js...not there fault but dang it! ?

Like all DollarTrees it's got a lot to do with who you employ as manager and employees because they all are under paid for what they have to go thru. I've not gone to any of their stores and it's either under staffed or congested with shoppers that are inpatient. Somebody is getting RICH but its not the workers y'all have my sympathy.

Lots of inexpensive food items and decor. Store is not usually packed and can get in and out pretty quickly.
