My 11yr old Aussie named Winston who already had one eye removed was blind in his other due to severe cataract.Dr. English said I can’t make him 100% visual but I can give him 90%. That was good enough for us. We scheduled his surgery. When I say it was a life changer for Winston that is an understatement. It was a life changer for all of us.The very next day Winston’s world appeared in front of him. He could SEE and it showed. He walked the yard looking at everything. Over the next week his confidence in his renewed sight was obvious. His head held high, he wasn’t secluding himself, his physical activity picked up and there was a renewed deepening of his bark. My boy was back.I’ve been in amusement and wonderment of watching him rediscover his world.11yrs old is up there for an Aussie, but when Dr. English said “I can” that’s all I needed. The entire staff Dr. Fontenelle and Dr. Rodriguez as well as all of the technicians are so incredibly amazing. Let me also mention the receptionist she is such a sweet woman who has asked about Winston on each check up.Thank you Dr. Scott Munn at West Cary Animal Hospital for referring us. It’s because of knowledge and understanding of your patient that we were able to give our boy a new lease on life.Thank you to everyone.Sherry A

Took my dog here to have his eye checked out. He's got a cataract and a detached retina. They were very friendly, and my dog wasn't anxious at all. They explained his condition well. The waiting room and restroom were very clean. Definitely recommend

Maybe medical staff is great here, but I didn’t make it that far so this review is solely addressing the scheduling process. My veterinarian put in a referral for my dog on a Thursday. On Sunday I submitted a message through this practice’s online contact form requesting an appointment. First thing Monday morning I got a response that an appointment requires a referral. Ok, so they didn’t take 20 seconds to cross-reference my info with their referrals… maybe they were busy. I called them later that day. The receptionist sounded like I was inconveniencing her for calling.I scheduled an appointment and then was informed that I would remain in the waiting room while my dog was taken back for the exam. It’s important to note that this dog is a rescue and needs an eye specialist to begin with because she is so incredibly terrified of any medical treatment that I can’t administer eye medication. I’m not exaggerating when I say she’s in the 1% that needs full sedation for a doctor to touch her. She screams, barrel rolls, and probably would hurt herself if restrained. I explained this to the receptionist and asked if they even offer sedation onsite. She said this would be considered a surgical appointment and I would have to come back at another time. I asked if there is any way I can be present during the exam, since this offers a better chance of my dog tolerating strangers. She flatly said no.The entire interaction made me feel very uneasy. It seemed like the front desk staff either didn’t understand, or just simply didn’t care about my concerns. And why is it impossible for an owner to remain with their dog? It makes me wonder what is happening during exams and if I would get a traumatized dog back afterwards. I cannot in good conscience allow my anxious pup to potentially be restrained by strangers without me there to protect her, so I cancelled the appointment and asked my vet for a referral elsewhere. For lack of a better term, I got bad vibes from this place and would not take my pets there.

Told me my dogs meds were 58.00 over the phone. When I went there, they charged my 73 dollars. People at the front desk are not very friendly nor do they speak. It was almost like because of the way I looked on the outside, they acted like I wasn’t supposed to be in Cary if you know what I’m saying.lol They also told me it was one eye and turns out both of my dogs eyes are bad. I would suggest using another eye care center for your pets eye care.

Such a wonderful and caring staff here! I brought my cat in for an eye ulcer that turned into a very long ordeal. He ended up needing emergency surgery to put a graft on his eye after it ruptured! The staff here made dropping off my little guy so much easier, knowing he was in good hands. He has since made a full recovery. I don't know what I would have done if not for the wonderful doctors here.I would very highly recommend this practice for anyone concerned about their fur babies' eyes.My Dapper Dan sure appreciates all that they did to help him!

They really do a great job. They take care of your animals really well. You will have take sure you have pet insurance or be able to pay the bill. No discount or payment plans. But over all it was totally worth it.

We were referred to Animal Eye Care by our vet for our cat's ulcer. We were grateful to be seen without an appointment on a Friday afternoon. Dr. English and his staff did an excellent job of determining an aggressive treatment which kept our pet from losing her eye. We are enthusiastic in our recommendation.

This place is amazing! The employees give such great personal care to both the pets and the humans. They removed tumors from our dogs eyes. He looks fantastic less than a day out of surgery. We were a wreck without him. They got him in and out in a few hours, their prices were reasonable and lower than our old vet who wanted more than double what was charged. I hope I don't need them again but if I do I'm thankful they are here! ????
