This review will have accolades that are well-deserved. I've lived at Crescent Arbors for 3 years and expect to be here for years to come. I love being here; it's my home. My apartment is lovely and nestled among mature trees and beautiful landscaping. The folks in management and maintenance truly care about creating and maintaining an environment that feels like a neighborhood. Their response time to my requests or questions is timely and handled well. The location in Cary is excellent, with an easy 1-mile walk, bike or drive to grocery stores, restaurants, various retail shops, a park, and greenways. The amenities of the property include a pool area with a lovely terrace and inviting seating, a tennis/pickle ball court, outdoor grills, and carwash bay. I enjoy walking through our neighborhood, chatting with other walkers and making friends with lots of small dogs. Am I happy here? Yes, well beyond my expectations.

I've lived at Crescent Arbors for 20 years and I'm very happy here. The stories I hear from other residents about their former nightmarish apartment rentals at other complexes shows me that I am in the right place. It's so serene here and so very close to everything I might need.

It's a place that's designed for empty nesters. If you're looking for a place that responds to emails in 24 hours or with just one phone call, this isn't your place. Also, lots of wood roaches given the price of the place. I've now lived two other places in NC, and nary a wood roach so far. Past that, it's a nice place with decent amenities. Most folks are quiet.

Pros: Convenience, water includedCons: Deceitful Personnel that lies about everything (maintenance guy said the issue with our building was due to a leak but plumbers said there was a clog), was told while unloading our stuff on the first move-in day that we were not allowed to have trailers parked on premise even though ours was enclosed (and while others were able to store their motorcycle and trailer, which is pictured below), cold apartment in winter, too hot in the summer, building is old and porous, spent over $150 on power bill through Duke Energy per month, loud concert played during the summer/fall which kept me from studying until 10pm, manager charges rent at her own discretion, we had different rental rates each month and some months we had nothing show up, manager forgets to put in amount due or does not put in correct rental amount in portal and blames you when it is not paid, charged us for a blind that was already old when we moved in and could have simply been put back up, went to Dominion realty with all of these issues and they also lied to us and did nothing about these issues. We contacted the attorney general's office and was informed to contact the city of Cary about not maintaining a comfortable environment, and the city of Cary spoke with the property. Also, your car paint will be ruined due to many leaves and tree particulates that fall, and the car wash is used by people other than residents. Overall, there's too many issues.

I have lived here almost 3 years and I love my place. I have never had any problems with anything and I have only had maintenance here once to do something for me and Ray did an excellent job. The staff in the office are extremely friendly and yet very professional. I live in a one bedroom and I love the layout of my place. Linen closet is a good size one and bathroom counter is a great size counter. Pantry in my kitchen is excellent in size which was great for me. The floors are a great color with carpet only being in my bedroom which I like and I love my living room. Crescent Arbors is an excellent location being in walking distance to shopping and places to eat and Lifetime fitness where I belong but I also love the walking trails. I couldn’t have picked a better place and staff then here!

The location is great; next to Harris teeter, Whole Foods, a shopping center, nearby access to a beautiful bike trail and to the highways, and no traffic noise. The staff at the office is friendly and maintenance is responsive. No parking issues, unlike other places where you struggle to find a spot to park at night. So why 2 stars? It’s of the cheapest quality: flooring is made of cheap plastics, appliances are the cheapest I ever seen in an apartment and poorly efficient, my bath tub has all sort of issues ranging from releasing black spots like burnt rubber, which made the tub very hard to clean, to the tub faucet leaking hot water; speaking of which, the water heater is so small you can take a shower but not a bath, or wash the dishes but no shower at the same time, and I’m in a 2 bedroom unit. The air system is also inefficient; one bedroom is a furnace and if you close the vents the noise is unbearable, while the living room and the master bed are at barely comfortable temperature. I also noticed fluffy black stuff dropping from the vents, which suggests me the ducks are filthy. If you care about internet speed; this place is very old and still has cable / Spectrum, which systematically gives you poor resolution video when you start watching and one second audio blackout once every hour or so. Working from home is an annoying experience, at the very least; yes the place is quiet, but when the landscapers come with blowers and other extremely noisy machines having a virtual meeting, or worse presenting to an audience, becomes frustrating. Not only that, you will find your car covered with dirt and other stuff after they are done. The neighbors can be very nice, but if you find the one living under my unit, expect to be harassed because of “suspicious smell of cigarettes,” or knocking at your door because one time I was still playing music (at a low volume) at 9:01! So… better than a couple of other experiences I had but certainly not even average and not really inexpensive either. People are nice but the property owners should really upgrade this place, or be honest and lower the rent by at least 15%. I lived here less than a year and moved in April 2020.

I have been here for almost 3 years and I love the 1 bedroom apartment that I am renting which is on the 3rd floor. It is a very nice apartment and I have never really had any issues with my place; if I did the office would quickly fix the problem; office staff is very friendly and professional; maintenance is also good and prompt. It is very quite and my neighbors are great. I can only say that it is a great place and great location!

Not pet friendly

Crescent arbors is clean and quiet. It is not as pet friendly as claimed. There are no pet clean up stations at the complex and there are no plans to get them. There is a significant ant issue and ants would fill the apartment and even our cars after it rained. Not nearly as many amenities as you can get elsewhere for the same price. Most of the office staff is rude.

About ten years ago we stayed at Crescent Arbors for about a year. We were pleased with the service. The staff was nice and helpful. The environment was nice and bright.

I can not begin to express my sincere thanks to Debra and her entire staff. The apartment that my wife and i stayed was beautiful, clean and maintenance free.I was given a new chance at life when in october of 2019 at Duke University Medical Center a transplant which included both heart and liver. My wife and i needed a clean environment to recover for a couple months post surgery. We lived three hours away and was in need of a local place due to hospital appointments. Debbie and her incredible staff made this transition worry free .She was always available and accommodated our every need.We recommend this housing highly because of the beauty, cleanliness and customer service.

There is this old lady in the office that will judge you as you come inside. Depending on how you are dress and your color, she will judge you and treat you accordingly. If this lady is like this then imaging what kind of people this place hires. She is racist. I wouldn't recommend anybody come here and deal with this kind of people.

The staff - Debbie Joyner, Cindy Cave, Kirstin - are the best features here! Ray and Christina are wonderful with maintenance and nice as can be. No onsite gym, plus non-smoking policy, helps keep the community clean and quiet. Many senior citizens, a couple families, young professionals. Not many social activities which is great for those of us requiring a quiet place to live. If you need a lot of bustle and activities, this community is not for you. While family-friendly, Crescent Arbors does not have a playground, dog park, or otherwise cater to children so again, if you are looking for places for kids to play or child-centered activities this is not the place for you. Management has raised rent $40 per month for at least the past 2 years which is driving out some of the nicest, most friendly long-time senior residents on fixed budgets who have made Cary home for decades, and creating a transient feel as the proportion of newcomers from outside the area grows. Which is a real shame, because the long-term friendships are what makes Crescent Arbors feel like home. Pool is well-maintained/clean, proximity to stores/restaurants a plus. Ants and other insects seem to be a problem on ground units, squirrels have gotten into the attics and there are snakes and mice. As others have mentioned, pine straw used in landscaping seems to be the culprit. The landscapers seem to use their blowers for hours on end blowing the same leaves around, perhaps look into limiting this. Also a "no-motorcycle" policy would be great, as there is a resident disturbing the peace with his motorcycle.
