The staff members are extremely rude. I was trying to access the locker but the ladies working said that the keys don’t work sometimes. What’s the point of having locker keys if the locker mechanism is just messed up. The process of drilling open the locker is also extremely ridiculous. If the problem has occurred before multiple times, then why has nothing been done yet.

I have used this bank for 7 years and always had a wonderful experience. They are very secure with wire transfers - insisting to check all the data with the receiving party to avoid fraud. They have been friendly and helpful, including giving me personalized and expedited service with my HELOC. Highly recommend.

Extremely Poor customer service. No sense of urgency. Most of the bankers were texting and having private conversations while guests were waiting to be seen. A little acknowledgment would have went a long way!

I thought all the reviews were exaggerated but they’re accurate, did a wire transfer and was questioned like I was a criminal for 15 minutes before they finally were satisfied. Never had an experience like that at any other bank.

Tried calling for a balance confirmation and was constantly put on held and given no resolution. Heard the manager telling the the teller what to do and seemed like they were laughing. They told me to do it myself, and when I tried to use the website they told me to it would've cost $27.

First Citizens is the WORST bank I have ever worked with.I had an auto loan with them, I would send the payment via check every month via my traditional bank on the 13th, due on the 1st. They would receive the check and HOLD it until the 3rd of the month before cashing and then would send me late notices in the mail! I sold the vehicle on the 18th of the month, the payoff paperwork went to them on the 20th and they didn't process it until the 28th of the month. On the 29th I happened to call to ask for a copy of the payoff letter, they said I would have to wait 10 days for processing the loan closure and then wait for the letter to be mailed. If I wanted one sooner I could go to a branch. I went to the branch, they told me that wasn't possible and I had to wait. When I was working to sell the vehicle and receive a payoff balance, their customer service number hung up on me 3 times after I had been waiting on hold. When I finally got them on the phone, they said they couldn't email me what I needed, they had to FAX IT! Seriously, like I have a fax machine!!!

Horrible service on many occasions. Went in to exchange large bills for smaller denominations and was questioned why. Tellers have been rude and short. This is a real issue that needs to be addressed if they expect people to continue banking with them.
