They here have really been slipping lately. They often run out of basic produce such as jalapenos (this has happened multiple times) While many items in the produce area are looking quite undesirable. If limes are supposed to be in season in the winter, why are there so many that are brown if not borderline rotten? 🤢 Shallots are often quite gross here.

So often the food or produce is half rotten. Everything is overpriced for the quality.

Thought it was a well kept store. Only issue was having firewood exposed to the elements. Who wants wet wood?

Lidl and Aldi across the street are 30-40% cheaper.

This is my usual grocer and I have but one comment. As a disabled veteran, I love the veteran parking for days I'm hurting, but if I'm using that parking and hurting, and/or I have my kid with me, then finding somewhere to put the cart after is abhorrent. You either have to take it inside or to the middle of the parking lot. Why is there not a safer cart return for veterans to use so they don't have to walk away from their kid in the car? Seems like an oversight. If this is fixed I'll update to a 5 ⭐ review. Maybe add a couple expecting mother's parking spots too, it is a grocery store after all, they be hungry.

If you have a bathroom emergency while shopping, you can forget using it if an employee is cleaning it. Having worked in this line of work before, i’d have let the customer in, and then proceeded to clean once they were done. Instead I get stared at while i’m waiting, by the teenager cleaning, and he says, “I’m going to be a minute…” with an attitude. Note, this was around 8pm last night, a few HOURS before closing. Disgusted with his customer service.

Produce is going downhill. Prices going higher for broken down produce.

Let me start off by saying I generally really like the employees here and the store is always very clean, orderly, and attractive. My gripes are that the produce (apples and chili peppers, especially) is often bad inside and/or flavorless. They do better in the quality of produce than Aldi across the street, but that's not saying much. Also, the bakery items are AWFUL in my opinion and not worth the money. They need to find a new bakery contact - I used to shop at Fry's (same company as HT) and their bakery was waaaay better.

As someone from Ohio it’s for sure cool to see different stores! Very clean and full store with lots of options on everything. I’m not sure how it worked but my Kroger + card worked at this place!

The Harris Teeter located on Grand Heights is my Favorite grocery store! It is well organized and clean! The employees take pride in their store and work as a family to strive to beat the competition in conjunction with other grocery stores! Managers, Jessie and Matt run a Wonderful store with friendly employees! I can't name them all! However, they ask me if I need help every time that I am there! Assistant Managers, Mary, Tony, and Denise along with all the Department Managers and all their employees work well with the objective to make the shopping experiences positive! The corporate office in Matthew's, North Carolina share positive feedback back to this Harris Teeter on Grand Heights! Overall, this grocery store is where I shop at! If they need to, they will order items if they can get it from the warehouse! I use to order Talenti SORBETTO in cases! Mike, the Dairy Angel/ Manager worked with me! I try to learn their names since they are people just like You and me! I don't like going in grocery stores! This store is an exception! Trust me! Most call me by my name, Laurie! This is a positive experience for me! I have grown fond of them! The one grumpy employee is no longer there! Thank God! It is like going in Toys are Us if You were a kid! I only write Reviews if I believe in the people!
