I used Duke & Boone prior to their acquisition for my personal taxes & otherwise. Our former accountant was goos, but retired. Similar to other reviewers here: has been slow, requires multiple follow-ups, appear disorganized, had to re-provide documents that had already been dropped off before the acquisition. After an extensive process, get our estimate back & will now have to get it redone by someone with better understanding of balancing people with w2 personal + business finances and maximizing deductions. Incredibly different results (for the worst) vs what has been done with the accountant they lost.

Negative 30 PLUS stars!!!! Do yourself a favor and RUNNN!! WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had that forced me to file a complaint with the CPA board! Not only is the secretary/office assistant in the Wendell location UNNECESSARILY AND DISGUSTINGLY RUDE, but not just ONE, but TWO licensed CPA’s (one being the OWNER of this firm) somehow reviewed and MISSED filing TWO of my 1099’s that they had in hand from 2021 which has resulted in me owing the IRS OVER $13,000 (found out in 2023) when I was told that I was paid in full with the IRS! Mr. King in my opinion was the most unprofessional and offensive person I have EVER dealt with and the worst part is that he blamed ME (the customer) for not finding THEIR mistake and cut me a settlement check for $793 LESS of penalties and fees than what I currently owe the IRS and interest is being tacked on daily that otherwise would not be happening had they reported my income correctly in the first place!! Now because of their incompetence, I have a long road ahead of me with dealing with the IRS to try and fix their mistake!!! Do yourself a favor and find yourself a COMPETENT CPA/FIRM because from my experience, this is NOT it!! If I took my own advice I would be getting money back this year instead of being in a hole with the IRS that is getting deeper by the day!!!

Almost impossible to get my accountant on the phone. I will call for hours while they are listed as open and get no answer, no call back, nothing. I've been with this company for over 8 years unfortunately it looks like its time to go....just horrible communication. Zero customer service. Renee is fantastic, other than that 2 thumbs down.

If you care about your personal or business financials DO NOT HIRE!HB Morgan consistently made us feel like everything was okay for our business financials and was very communicative at first…until we started receiving letters from federal AND state agencies about late/missing payments, including the IRS about unpaid taxes (a service we paid $1400 a month for!). SUDDENLY the firm became overwhelmed with other clients to the point that our bookkeeper (Ashley) wouldn’t answer our calls or emails for days at a time. Meanwhile, instead of answering our questions or responding to us, payments were being made without any acknowledgment of the fees or interest being charged on those payments due to their negligence.The receptionist (Leslie) began dodging our calls, the CPAs (Alan and Olivia) were consistently uninformed or incapable of answering our questions, and the incompetence of some of their employees was beyond excusable. It took over a month after firing them before they were able to provide us with CORRECT financial statements. Please reread the previous sentence again, as I assure you it was as unbelievable as it sounds. It was not until over a month after they were fired that they were able to provide a balance sheet and income statement that were not wildly incorrect.It would be courteous, professional, and flat out respectful for accounting professionals to have the wherewithal to not only catch their mistake(s), but bring it to the clients attention and stand behind their work with a valid reason for the issue; not to mention making a commitment to prevent it from occurring again. We had to track down their mistakes and bring it to their attention before they would even consider paying for the internet and fees incurred as a result of their mistakes.I’m warning you to leave all sorts of reasonable communication expectations at the door with this firm. I am also warning you to get all communication in writing as they will go out of their way to give you a runaround or provide insufficient and confusing answers over the phone/in person.After enduring the countless hours of confusion and headache caused by this firm, I would strongly recommend to anyone in search of an accountant to go literally anywhere else.

I have been dealing with this firm for about four years now to file my taxes. This year, I emailed the CPA who used to file my taxes. But Leslie Gammon, the office manager, did not respond promptly to my request and did not guide me to another CPA to do the work. I had to send several emails to get feedback. Finally, I sent an email telling her that I was disappointed with the way she handled my request. Then she sent me an email blaming me for that. This is not the way that she should deal with customers! Very disappointed!
