If you can not do self checkout don't have signs etc that you do! The reason people go to self checkout is because they want to not have interactions w people or be in a line etc. having a cashier ck you out at self checkout is ridiculous

At some point, not long ago, HD really seemed to be making strides to improving their image of hiring employees who either wouldn't help or couldn't. Unfortunately they have returned to form and actually gotten worse. Now you have to wait around until associates can find someone competent enough to open a lock and escort you to the registers, that is after trying to get help near the thing you need and failing so you have to go to the customer service desk.This time I waited around 15 minutes for some wire, last time was nearly an hour because they had just installed the cages and literally no one on the store had the codes, and before that I waited for 30 minutes for someone to come cut some sheet goods after a cashier repeatedly called for assistance. These have all been over the past 4-5 months, ridiculous. This doesn't even touch on the numerous times when I've gone to return something that somehow they have no record of, despite other items on the same receipt refunding fine. I'm done trying with HD, I'm going to go back exclusively to Lowes unless I literally can't buy it elsewhere.

I shop here a lot. Always getting something for my husband as he works on our home. What I do not like, which some other stores are implementing, is the "help" at the self checkout. While I do appreciate the help if I ever needed it. I find it very annoying to have someone scanning my products for me, telling me what the payment machine is going to say next. I almost feel incapable while being capable. I have been doing this for many years without a problem. It really is making me not want to physically shop there anymore.

I am astonished at how rudely I was just treated in this store. I was confused about where to pick up my curbside order so I called in, and I was repeating where my spot was because she didn’t hear me and then she rudely told me to “calm down “ Very rudely… I can’t think of many scenarios where it’s OK for a customer service agent at Home Depot to tell any of their customers to “calm down “I was calm I was just enunciating because she didn’t hear me the first time. So I came inside and spoke to Steve the supervisor, and he completely dismissed me. Just completely. All he did was try to get my order and get me out the door.. Get my microwave point in my car and usher me out the door I said to him, are you not going to do anything at all? And he rudely said “well not in front of you “and I said “you’re not even going to apologize for the situation? “And he ushered me out the door with my microwave he just wanted to dismiss me and get rid of me . Hey guys, there’s a Lowe’s across the street I went over there and bought a microwave. They’re friendly and helpful and they had a better selection go to Lowe’s. It’s literally directly across the street.

I won't be visiting this store anymore. Employees are on the floor discussing issues with mismanagement and how they are forbidden to look at future schedules amongst other things. When I go to check out, I notice that 2 out of the four self check-outs are closed. The other two have employees posted at the other two to scan your items for you. I'm greeted with, "is this all?" So, either I'm not spending enough or I should've pulled out all the stuff I stole out of my pockets.

Needed some items for a drywall and wood repair and visited the location near Crossroads shopping center. The dog ? and teenager alike are both like the Hulk around the house sometimes ?? and inadvertently cause Mamma to learn a new skill! I visited around 7:45a during the week, and there were several associates going about their jobs, but who greeted me and/or asked if I needed any help. I did ask an associate for help, who was happy to show me what I was looking for and all items I was looking for were in stock.

Kelly is amazing! I called this Home Depot in hopes to solve a really quick bathroom remodel problem. She stayed on the phone with me on and off throughout the day and help me find exactly what I needed. I could not have had better customer service. She is hands-down one of the best I have ever worked with. Home Depot is lucky to have her and I genuinely love this Home Depo. Thank you for helping!

*Beware of HD Warranty!3 years ago, we purchased carpet at the Crossroads of Cary NC Home Depot for our house. We were upsold to the 30 year “lifetime” carpet because of its warranty, “outstanding” quality and were assured it would not show wear. We had the carpet professionally cleaned annually as required by the warranty. Recently, we started noticing unexpected wear on our bonus room carpet. We contacted Home Depot about this issue. A claim was opened against the warranty (this is through Mohawk the carpet manufacturer) about the wear. They immediately denied the claim and said it was due to improper cleaning. We provided evidence of the professional cleaning, and they then denied it because of “overuse”. We had a third party look at the carpet in person and they said it was defective, but that Home Depot is renowned for never honoring a carpet warranty.I spoke to Anastasiya (Home Depot Assistant Manager), and she said there is nothing they can do and made false accusations that we had "probably damaged the carpet due to negligence". Furthermore, when trying to get more information about this she was rude, told me she had a store to run, and didn’t have time to deal with my concern. Home Depot does not stand behind their products and I would highly recommend not purchasing any flooring from them. Their warranty is essentially a marketing scam as they have no intention of honoring it. We are out thousands of dollars paying for a carpet that is no better than the original builder’s grade carpet. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied.

To really appreciate Home Depot, you need to travel the world a little. I live part of the year in the UK and wish I had a Home Depot. Every time I return to the UK part of my luggage is packed with thi gs from HD! The prices and selection just can't be beat. I only wish I could get certain electrical items at HD made for the UK. Tools too, most of Europe needs better tools!

It was so difficult to find someone to answer a few questions about fencing. The girl at check out was kind enough to call & try to get help but no one would answer their phones! Then we begin trying to ask employees in the lumber area, they made us feel as if we were bothering them! Our expectations were to spend close to $1,000 but with no one willing to assist us, we were left with no other choice but to leave. We ran over to Lowe’s and they helped us with our purchase.
