I prepared my tax file for the year 2023 at this location. I was unaware, and they did not inform me, that this is a seasonal office. I was initially satisfied with their work. They assured me they would mail my federal tax file to the IRS and gave me the state tax file to mail myself, which I was fine with.
Three months later, when I checked with the IRS, they informed me that they had not received my file, meaning H&R Block did not send my documents. Although this was disappointing, I decided to address it. I made an appointment at the location a week in advance because it is only open on Wednesdays. However, when I arrived, no one showed up for my appointment. I called the number advertised on the front door, and the person I spoke with said they would call me back. I have been waiting for that call ever since.

If I could no stars, I would. I paid $225 to have my 2022 taxes done before the April deadline in Feb 2023. In April 2024, I went on the IRS website to figure out why my taxes for 2023 were being rejected, a letter was posted indicating that my taxes for 2022 WERE NEVER SUBMITTED. I had to email the tax pro, sent her the letter and she submitted my taxes over a year late! This is after I signed documentation confirming they completed my e-filing in Feb 2023! I’ve contacted the customer service number and explained the issue on three separate occasions, that I need a refund as the taxes were completed 15 months late after I paid for the service and to contact the IRS and explain their error. No one has contacted me following three phone calls. This H&R Block office needs to be held legally accountable for their negligence. Do not go here! Go to Turbo, they’re super reliable.

Today was my first time using H&R Block do my taxes. Sneha was so helpful and explained everything to me step by step throughout the process. I will DEFINITELY be coming back and will recommend her to friends/family!

Annette should not be answering the phones or even working for you all. She is rude and disrespectful and kept cutting over me, could barely get a sentence out.

Nasreen made sure we had the best experience possible. She looked out for us and helped us understand everything to the best of her ability. She was patient and understanding. Overall, she gave us great service. We will be back as long as she is our agent!

This tax preparer gave me costly incorrect advice and did not properly process my return. Now I have to deal with NC Dept of Revenue and additional fees/interest. Do not go here!

The people we go to does a great job. This year we saw Whit. Whit's personality is inviting, friendly, and helpful. I like how he explained information I didn't understand and best of all, he writes/ draws it out, to help me better visualize what he's saying.
***Side note***
I dislike filling taxes. In fact I came in to see Whit and gave him one sheet of information because I didn't want to put the time in. Well, Whit gave me the encouragement I needed to pull myself together and bring in the items he needed so I could get a great return. My my, what a return it was indeed. Thank you so much Whit! Looking forward to seeing you next year.
*** 2/17/23: It's with great sadness I announce that Whit has passed away. He passed away last year. We are now back to looking for a new CPA, hopefully with H&R Block. If you would highly recommend anyone, please let me know. R.I.P Whit.

Terrible service. Called to ask a question and hung up instead of answering the question. Called two times to get assistance. They hung up twice. Bad customer service

I needed tax assistance for 2 states due to moving this year. I booked an appointment and they called back stating the time I booked was actually not available, and they would have to check if someone can help with both states. They called me back and made me an appointment with someone who could help. When I called for confirmation of the time they had no record of the appointment they made with me. They didn't bother to write down the appointment they made. Pretty basic stuff. I would never work with this company again.
