Had difficulty returning items purchased from lowes.com which were listed as returnable in store. Cs states the item was clearance, but lowes.com listed it at full price and non clearance. She informed me there was no way for me to see which items were returnable, and that this was a common issue with lowes.com even when the items say returnable in store. She refused to call a manager when I asked.
The main reason I use lowes and lowes.com is for convenience. She told me lowes.com is not reliable, and scolded me like I should have known better. I found the item I need on Amazon instead so I don't have to deal with this again. I'll start avoiding lowes

After the local hardware store failed twice to make working copies of keys, I went to Lowe's. Their machines automatically measure the key and then cut the new key to standard specifications, rather than simply using the existing key as a template (and copying all of its wear and dings).
The new key worked perfectly.

I purchased a refrigerator on Wednesday Oct 4 with a delivery date on the following day. No one called. No one arrived. Lowe's distribution claimed it never made it in the truck. New date Oct 6 Lowe's delivered a broken refrigerator. Replacement date set for Monday Oct9. They arrive with a refrigerator in worse shape. New date set for Sat Oct 14. They arrive with a refrigerator with the same damage as the first. Ten minutes after that delivery I got a call from Lowe's rep saying upper management decided on Oct 9 that this was going to be the last attempt. They only offered a refund. The refrigerator that was initially delivered is still in my home. Last night it leaked water all over my floor. No idea how much damage that has done to my sub floor. DO NOT buy appliances from Lowe's in Cary NC. Below are pictures of the damage and the frost in the outside of the doors because the seal is leaking soooo much cold air.
Update - They showed up with a THIRD refrigerator with the SAME damage to the hinge era. I refuse the delivery and called Lowe's. No joke, I was told that upper management reviewed my situation and decided they were done. No longer will to correct the problem. My only option was to return the broken refrigerator. So no refrigerator, tons of lost time, and damaged subfloor. My extended family and I have shopped at this specific location for 20yrs.
THIS MARKS THE END OF THAT!
Update- against my better judge and due to home Depot being out of stock I decided to try this store again. I found the lattice strips I needed however only 4 out of the 15 or so pieces were remotely useable. At $18+ for a bundle of sticks I decided to ask if they could offer a discount. The service manager came over and told me that they would not be able to and that the bundle would be scrapped. My options, pay full price for a third of the product or leave empty handed. The assistant manager said that had he been there he would have offer a discount. Last straw, Lowe's.

Bought a refrigerator. They shipped three damaged units to my home. After the third failure Lowe's officially decided to give up. Pathetic!

Tried to buy an 800 dollar tool chest and only had options for what was on the floor. Every single tool chest was damaged in some way where you couldn't lock the drawers or some drawers wouldn't open or some straight up didn't have keys. Tried to get an associate to help and he was clearly uninterested and when we asked about getting an unopened one he didn't want to have to get it from the stock on top of the shelves. Honestly ridiculous if I'm going to spend that much money on something I want it fully working.

The white female in the gardening center was completely unhelpful. Despite a clear sign advertising 75% off, she initially wanted to refused to honor the discount until a manager and department manager stepped in to correct her. Then, when I requested my receipt be emailed, she claimed to have sent it, yet it never arrived. This team clearly needs training in customer service and basic equipment usage if they expect to handle customer requests effectively.

Update: Lowes responded and asked me to call an 800 number. I did that, and was greeted by an overseas call center who could not understand why I was calling. Lowes is not serious about actual customer service.
Lowes refused to refund item as I was two days past 90 day return window (due to delay/issues with contractor). I do understand they have policies in place but do *not* appreciate how manager rudely dismissed me. Apparently they do not care about return business, will now shop at Home Depot.
