After nearly 30 years of heavy use, our bar chairs badly needed new fabric and new cushions. George does Peterson's reupholstering and I must say, he did an outstanding job. It's like we have our brand new chairs back! They are firm and the fabric is sturdy and beautiful. There is a limited number of fabrics to choose from and we were fortunate to find one we liked. The quality of his work is unmatched with every seam and tuck perfectly executed. So no mixed messages here....I highly recommend them if you have upholstery needs.

This place is gorgeous where you were walking into furniture store. There are two levels which you can consign at either or both levels. You need to have a consigners number first and they only take a very limited number of items. the staff has been very pleasant and I look forward to sharing more with them as I continue to purge from Charlottesville to Cary.

Hadn’t been in for a couple of years but we were in the area and stopped in. They always seem to have something I need and I seem to never walk out empty handed. Store is well organized and neat. Staff is helpful and let you walk around without hounding us. Definitely worth a visit.

Unbelievable! I have shopped here weekly for years and I’ve also consign clothing in the upstairs boutique. I called yesterday to ask about how many items I could bring in without an appointment, mentioning that they were mostly pants. The person I was talking to on the phone started off discouraging right out of the gate Stating they were accepting jeans but no dress pants because they had an abundance. I proceed to go up there today with five pair of jeans, high end some with tags still on, they ask me to walk around while they look at my things and they knew they weren’t going to take them because they have an over abundance of jeans.Why couldn’t the person tell me this on the phone or when i WALKED in rather than me wasting time and gas to bring my high end jeans to them? They were rude, and unfortunately, even though most of my clothes come from here, I do not believe I will be returning based on how I was treated.

After moving across the country to North Carolina, we were so happy to come across Petersons Consigning Design. We purchased several pieces of nice furniture at a great price (much cheaper and much better quality than going to big name furniture stores). We will be back!

Super cute place! I've gotten a couple of really high quality pieces here and all at a really good price. The girls working upstairs are all friendly and helpful for clothes and Caroline helped me downstairs!
