Most unorganized location I have been too. Store Manager is always arrogant and talk down to his employees IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS. Will visit other locations in the future.

While in the changing room the door malfunctioned and jammed my finger and one of the employees at the checkout was rude he was yelling at anyone that took too long to get to the checkout counter and I watched him yell at a young child for picking something off the floor .

Rude associates. Thankfully 1 cashier was pleasant. Was looking through the rugs on the shelves and folded them neatly back on the shelves when done. (The rugs looked better than before because they were a mess at first). Midway through the rugs, an associate came and snatched the stack we were looking at and set them off to the side and rearranged the rugs back to exactly how we had them *eyeroll*. Not sure if she was having a bad day or what but her attitude wasn’t pleasant. She could’ve at least waited until we were done. Overheard her talking to another associate saying we were making a mess when we weren’t...better off driving extra to go to a different location (Glenwood)

SHOULD BE "ZERO STARS" ROSS, CROSSROADS, CARY, NC, HAS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY PROFILE CUSTOMERS!! ON 4-24-24 12:30p ASSISTANT MANAGER JENN and CASHIER NAZIA must have felt like being "PROFILERS" when I came in, because I wanted to return some body crème in a jar that was too overpowering me in scent. Sure, before I purchased it I smelled it quickly and liked that it had lavender and shea added; but when I actually tried it at home the floral smell became too much especially when it came in contact with my clothes. I was literally walking around smelling like roses but it was too strong. I only used a small scoop, and I didn't want to waste my money. So, I went to Ross to do a simple exchange. I could not find my receipt, but I have returned items before without a receipt and was able to get something in exchange with no problem which is standard across retail. So, I was taken aback when the cashier NAZIA gave me a "GLARING and PROFILING STARE like I was SCAMMING because I didn't have a receipt". I am very good at reading people, so her expression was evident. I gave her an explanation of why I was doing an exchange as she proceeded to open the jar; but she ignored me and called up the manager. The assistant manager JENN and her talked, then JENN came to me and asked if I had my credit cards bc she could check by that. I was becoming perturbed and said, "I cannot remember what credit card I may have used"-but in my head I was like what if I paid in cash? Then JENN said, "Sorry, without a receipt we cannot do an exchange". I asked her why? JENN proceeded to tell me that "IT COULD HAVE CAME FROM ANYWHERE!!" AT THIS POINT I FELT LIKE I WAS BEING INTERROGATED AND PROFILED LIKE I WAS SCAMMING FOR $6.99!! I told JENN that the sticker was on there that it was from Ross for $6.99. JENN then shrugged her shoulder and again said that they could not do it. IT WAS LIKE JENN WAS HOPING I WOULD LEAVE EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT I AM A REGULAR CUSTOMER ACROSS ALL ROSS STORES; AND I WAS NOT TOLERATING THIS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE TREATMENT!! I WAS NOT LETTING JENN AND NAZIA PORTRAY ME AS A SCAMMER BECAUSE I LOOKED ORDINARY OF ANOTHER RACE COMING INTO THEIR STORE. I LOOKED LIKE A REGULAR PERSON LIKE THEM EXCEPT FOR MY SKIN TONE. PLUS, I SPEND TOO MUCH MONEY AT ROSS!! I then asked where was this in writing that you can not exchange something without a receipt, AS I HAVE DONE IN THE PAST WITH NO PROBLEM!! JENN looks around and says she needs to go to the back and look at policy. AS I WAIT FOR SERVERAL MINUTES, NAZIA LOOKING SMUG ASKS ME TO STEP ASIDE TO TAKE THE NEXT CUSTOMER, CLEARLY DISMISSING ME!! MEANWHILE, NAZIA IS VERY NICE TO THE NEXT CUSTOMER WHICH UPSET ME EVEN MORE BECAUSE SHE BARELY SAID HELLO TO ME!! NAZIA STARTED THIS WHOLE FIASCO!! To sum it up, JENN comes back with no proof of policy that said what she said, and GAVE ME PERMISSION TO DO THE EXCHANGE. I proceed with the exchange because I needed to prove a point that both NAZIA AND JENN wrongfully profiled me by trying to deter what they assumed to be a scammer. I picked a pair of $7.99 flip flops owing them $1. THIS OFFENSIVE EXPERIENCE DID DETER ME FROM BROWSING AND SPENDING MORE MONEY IN THEIR STORE AS A REGULAR CUSTOMER!! NAZIA AND JENN CAUSED ME AN UNENJOYABLE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE!! I GET NAZIA AGAIN AS SHE IS THE ONLY CASHIER UP FRONT, AND SHE ASKS ME FOR AN ID. I CALLED FOR THE ASSISTANT MANAGER TO TELL BOTH OF THEM THAT THAT WAS ALL THEY HAD TO DO IN THE FIRST PLACE!! JENN SAYS "SORRY" AND THAT SHE (JENN) WAS "NEW" AND DIDN'T KNOW THE POLICY (REALLY?) I ASKED FOR THE MANAGER AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE IN LAS VEGAS FOR TRAINING (I HOPE THEY ALL LEARN FROM THIS REVIEW)!! HOWEVER, NAZIA THE EXPERIENCED CASHIER SAID SHE KNEW THE POLICY-THAT YOU JUST NEED ID THE WHOLE TIME!! NAZIA UPON MY ARRIVAL CHOSE TO PROFILE ME AND WASTE MY TIME OVER A JAR OF CREME!! I WILL CONTINUE TO SHOP AT ROSS [EXCLUDING THE ONE IN CARY]. I WILL ALSO SHOP ONLY WHEN NEEDED. NO MORE SPLURGING AT ROS

Terrible! Dressing room closed except front of the store area. Stood in line for almost 40 minutes to try on clothes. Then the line for checkout was extremely long as well with few cashiers. I have noticed several Ross stores in the past few months with seemingly just an ill regard for their customers.

Rude staff, rude manager. Don’t recommend this store, go to a nicer area where employees might be friendlier.

I don’t usually have any issues with this store. However, don’t buy sheets or any package you have to open. I bought king size sheets and the fitted sheet was the wrong size. They would not let me return them even though they were defective. Lesson learned. Just be careful what you buy there.

The holiday doesn't exempt a business from keeping the floor shopable. This location was a disaster on multiple visits during the holiday season. I refuse to shop where the store is a mess! Customer service does not exist here as well. That's to be expected!
