This is one of the best YMCAs in the triangle. They have an indoor pool, great coffee machine. The kids area is the best I have found, they have a classroom for each age and the teachers are great about scheduled activities. I drive extra to go to this YMCA.

Not as good as it seems. Everything is clean and updated which seems great until you actually start using the facility. The steam room was broken when I was there (which according to another member is common), the cross trainer I used had a terrible touch screen that barely worked, and the shower water was on the cold side of lukewarm. Someone forcefully yells at you in the locker room when they are closing like you’re drunks at a bar. Oh no! These people that all pay us 50 bucks a month might inconvenience us by staying five minutes later! The horror! Might try other Y’s next time I’m in the area before I decide to come back here.

The track out camps are always boring and during dismissal they make you sit in the gym with nothing to do for 1-3 hours. It is very religious and extremely over priced

Started going to this gym about a year ago and the staff are so nice. We initially signed up for the racquetball courts but also love...love...love the domed/covered pool. I also appreciate that this gym, in particular, has a lot of diversity. The members here include so many different cultures and nationalities that I feel comfortable coming from a multicultural nationality. I've been to other YMCA locations and this one by far is my favorite.

Best Y I've been to, I don't live nearby anymore and miss this location a lot! I used the cardio machines, weights, steam room and yoga classes. Enjoyed all very much!

The schedule isn't updated. We came with another few families on Sunday at 10:30 to enjoy the pool and it was closed while it should be open according to their website.

They lack accommodations for my family at the pool. There is no family bathroom. I have an adult son with disabilities and he needs assistance with changing. I am uncomfortable allowing him into the men’s locker room alone. The accessible restrooms are too far for him to walk to, or require negotiating more steps than he can handle. I won’t return to this location.

Place is very run down. They sunk all their money into a hoodie for the swimming pool so that their high school swim team could have year round access. Meanwhile the place went weeks without hot water. Now the men's steam room is broken for over a month. Yet we pay our bill on time. Then last year they wanted to transfer my home membership to a more expensive YMCA that I was having to go to to have all the facilities working. They ought to be giving every guy a discount for non-working facilities. Pondering letting this membership go and solve this problem once and for all. If it goes two more weeks and the steam room is still not working, I'll change this rating to one-star.

Great place for the entire family. I love being able to work out while my daughters enjoy the kids zone!

Small community, nice staff, daily brain teaser, indoor track, child care 2 hr increments, complimentary tea n coffee, Christian principles, nice outdoor camp.

I like the Y as an establishment, so I will be shy of a lower rating. The place is filled with groups of middle schoolers benching the bar. I am not sure what the policy on kids is, but they need to slow down on letting kids get the lifting training and blockade the entire gym for hours at a time. It is very annoying and seems greedy to allow these kids to basically injure themselves for the sake of membership rates.

Facilities are great and clean. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Group fitness is great, although I wouldn’t mind a few more AM class options. Swimming pool is well maintained and the reservation system ensures you always have a lane (or shared lane). Great value for money! My favorite part is how friendly the other patrons are - constantly having short conversations with people!

My local 'Y'tour continues with Taylor being my gym the last 2 Saturdays for a program known as 'Starting strong'.I tried to attend the aforementioned at NW Cary but could not make it work with Football conflicts. Anyway, I am glad, because I enjoyed the program, Donovan, the facilitator, and Taylor. It is located off of Cary Parkway, appropriately on YMCA dr. There is ample parking and it is in 2 buildings. Building 1 is 2 floors, amorphous/cavernous, and houses 2 gyms, several biking/cardio, weights areas, raquetball courts, locker rooms, offices, in take desk. Building 2 is the Pool.Donovan, a 22 year employee, is a great representative, and Start strong is a worthwhile program. (Thx Donovan for the Taylor swag)Locker room is adequate but not as nice as its sister gyms. When in the area, check it out, I know I will return.
