I rented a truck and the fuel gauge at pickup was pretty close to full so I let it go. I used the truck for 25 miles and when I filled the gas it took 5.77 gallons. Obviously they don't make sure the fuel tank is full when they rent the truck out although they want it full when you return. When I pointed this out to the guy working the desk he didn't say he would let the manager know or make sure the problem is corrected in the future. Instead he shrugged his shoulders and said "It's not my problem". It's not really just him- I've been here before and the service is often rude. And I'm not someone who tends to complain about such things.

3pm sept 18. I walk in to ask about pricing. Guy behind the counter with dreads just dead stares me down doesn't say anything to me after I say hey whats up....... just stares at me. I say hey I'm trying to get some info on trucks, he says with the rudest atittude, "watchu need to see all the trucks outside" I just walked out. Would never spend my money with a business that acts like their customers are an inconvenience and wont even greet them when they are spoken to.

Only dropped off after closing, but the parking lot was pitch dark, crowded, uneven gravel with trees and limited turning space AND they hit me with a $10 cleaning charge which was totally bogus as I left no trash or spills.

This place is not bad because they have a product you need. But very unprofessional. cheech and Chong had their weed pens in hand and are clearly stoned and lazy. You'd think if you are getting high at work you would hide it. But not the case for this place. Very snappy and have an attitude for being high.

What they fail to mention about the trucks is that there is a nationwide UHaul issue with the tire monitors. I'm 20 mins into my trip and the tire pressure warning comes up. I have to pull over on I-40 and call roadside assistance. I eventually make it to a speedway gas station in chapel hill and wait an hour for a roadside mechanic. He comes and takes the tire off. There is a nail in it but it wasn't even low on air. He leaves me there with three tires so I was stranded. He has to take the new tire to 4 different places to try to get the rim transferred and the tire balanced. Never mind the fact that it's over 95 degrees and I'm stranded with no water in the sun. Over three hours later I'm back on the road with a new tire and guess what -- low tire pressure light turns on. So now I see it's an issue with the monitor. I continue driving and let uhual know the situation. I dropped it off at a location in Charlotte where I explained everything and that's where I was finally told (after my trip) that there is a faulty tire monitor system. The employee I told said he probably had at least five trucks at just this location with faulty monitors -- so this is something everyone knows about but they don't tell people hmmmm. I ask for a refund or even a partial refund. He says ok and that he was creating a CAB file. It's been over three weeks and I've heard nothing and still not gotten a cent back. So I call the Charlotte location and the employee I'm talking to says the first guy that said he created a CAB file never created it. So, what, they thought I would just drop it?? So many cracks in this system that are so big it's no wonder we fell through them. Would not be surprised if a class action lawsuit was in the works and how many others like me have similar stories. I don't expect a great experience but definitely didn't sign up for heat stroke and for my trip to be extended another 3 hours. Never again. This is your warning -- there is a reason for the low prices , just try not to get stranded for three hours in 95 degree heat like we did. Tried to calm this location and was sent to a voicemail that (shocker) hasn't been set up. I have the regional managers info and I am now escalating it. I just want the refund I was promised.

Be very careful. They charge a lot of fees on top of the rental. I was charged for gas when it was full. No need to argue with the grown man wearing a Rugrats sweater. Pay with your CC so you can dispute.

I have been very unhappy with the customer service the last two visits. I’ll never go back. I was overcharged $100 this time for bogus reasons. I had to reach out to the district manager to get it resolved. I don’t recommend this location unless they get new management.

Do not run h-haul From this place, very nice Tee store. Very bad customer service the guys work over they have an attitude they gave me the wrong truck and the truck was not long with gas like with they say the engine light was on have a lot of damage to that truck I supposed to get a van and they gave me the wrong key and the guy hang out to my face I was just please shut down.

6 months ago I would not recommend renting or purchasing boxes from here. The owner was refusing to sell boxes to us because he wanted to save them for a big move. Then his son said they had plenty and would be ok if they sold 2. Then he wouldn't give a receipt and said that we should be worried about saving the planet. Excuse me, we just bought boxes. I am sure the receipt is not a big deal. We won't be going back to this location and would suggest not wasting your time going there either.

Really nice and helpful guys running this place. They worked with me to accommodate a last minute change with the type of vehicle I was getting on a day where things were super busy! Highly recommend for anyone looking to get a Uhaul

Rented a truck and auto carrier in August of this year. The guy who waited on us at the time of pickup was crude, rude and indifferent when my brother asked questions about operating the auto carrier. As we were loading the truck, we realized the two back tires were not on securely and one of the tires was damaged. WE called the emergency number for U-Haul; they replaced the tires. When we reached our destination the Uhaul dealer at that location wanted to charge us for a cracked light on the auto carrier we didn't notice when we picked it up at the Uhaul in Cary, Nc. I refused to pay for damage I did not cause. Pay attention and take pictures when renting equipment from theses rental dealers. U-Haul is a decent company but some of their dealers are shady.

Be careful renting a U-Haul from here. The rental truck was faulty and wouldn’t start. Getting the appropriate help has been a challenge. At least roadside assistance came to try to help. The truck should have been checked before we went to rent it.
