The wait time has really improved here.
I popped in during a late lunch and there wasn’t a line. I completed an important certified mailing.
The service is always great. The staff are always helpful and ready to assist customers. I am appreciative of kind postal workers because I can’t say the same about the location closer to my home in Raleigh. Although this is downtown Cary this location is still very convenient to parks and restaurants I frequent.

I walked up to Sunghye today, smiled at her, put my packages down, and she took one look at me and turned me away. I have cleft palate, so there's a scar on my face. She wouldn't help me, and she even turned the screen to make me input the details on a USPS private network computer because she refused to do it herself.
I understand the job is difficult, but being ableist and rude against people with handicaps is extremely disconcerting. For the sake of principle do not go to this post office and report Sunghye if she's rude like this to you too!

By far the nicest, most pristine, friendly post office I've ever come across in my life. My sister has worked for the post office, in another town, for over 10 years and she was highly impressed. She couldn't believe this place existed & called it a hidden gem. I AM IMPRESSED!!!

Afternoon March 26, 2025… Rude woman, about 60, no one else was in the P.O. She never spoke to or even acknowledged me despite me saying hello. Instead she just stared at me and after an uncomfortable period of time chastised me for having stepped over a line, authoritatively stating, I “was to wait behind the line until called to the correct window”. There was no signage indicating where I was to wait. This was unnecessary and rude. You don’t have to be pleasant, but don’t be abusive and pushy. At the very least you should be counseled on the basics of customer service.

Angela is possibly one of the rudest people I have ever met. How does she still have a job?
I was given a specialty envelope and wasn’t sure where to write the address on it, and wanted to make sure it was done properly. I asked Angela where to write the address and she scoffed at me and yelled “Can you read? It says it right there!!” She made me feel really stupid and I don’t appreciate being belittled. The package was for a check that needed to be mailed to our closing attorney for a house and it was imperative that it was done correctly.
Also, nobody was in the store at the time, and she acted like my question was bothering her and disrupting whatever it was she was doing. She is incredibly unprofessional.
Edit: this happened over a year ago and I still think about this encounter. She made me feel so awful for days and I’m pretty good about letting things brush off me.

I live in an apartment complex with extremely small mail boxes, for the most part it’s understood that if it’s clothing it’ll probably get shoved into the mailbox whether it fits or not, fine whatever. However, I just ordered a collectible item that came in a 9”x12” flat cardboard package (clearly not meant to be bent) that was FOLDED IN HALF to be shoved into the mail box. I am beyond livid, it ruined my item. There is no care from this usps when it comes to these things, whenever I send mail out it often gets lost in transit along the way as well. If you can, try to avoid.

I've tried sending several items to my husband during his deployment ans every time they act like I am the biggest inconvenience. They've told me wrong information about shipping and only tell you the most expensive way to ship, you have to ask for the other options and they are condescending. I witnessed them treat other customers the same way. I used to like the dt cary office and recommend it to others but in the last year I have had nothing but bad experiences

This is the absolute WORST post office to come to , I dont know why the cashier is still employed here clearly usps does not give a F about customers. I came in today 6/4/2024 9am . There was one other lady in front of me . She very politely asked the cashier if she could help her grabbing some forms because shes legally blind and can not see well enough, the cashier signed and grunted and told her NO Even when the customer was kindly asking her again if she could please please please help her she still said NO thats not our job. WHAT!? This place is insane. The elderly looking cashier in the morning has the worst attitude ever. She definitely needs to be FIRED and replaced. This is NOT a one time incident , I come here fairly often because its the most convenient and try not to interact with the cashier , she does this every time has the same attitude every single day. She clearly HATES her job and is inconvenienced by us customers and legally disabled customers. STAY FAR AWAY FROM HERE .

I've had a pleasant time here, as long as Angela isn't waiting on me. She's one of the most crusty, rude, people I've ever encountered. This has been going on for years. I guess once you have a job via the government, it's next to impossible to get fired. I wish I believed in Karma. I will happily drive a farther distance just to avoid the sour puss on Angela's face.

Customer service was good. The place is falling apart. It is sad to see how left it is. It really needs an update soon. It might be clean, but because it is too old, it looks awful and dirt, and it is so well located in the middle of downtown.

I am writing to express my disappointment with the level of customer service I received during my recent visit to the USPS branch located at 205 Academy Street, Cary, North Carolina. As a regular customer utilizing USPS services, I value efficiency and professionalism, however, my recent experience left much to be desired.During my visit to return several packages, I approached the attendant for assistance with the process. Unfortunately, instead of receiving the assistance and guidance I expected, I encountered rudeness and unhelpfulness from the attendant. Despite my polite inquiries, the attendant's demeanor was dismissive, making the return process unnecessarily challenging and frustrating. As a loyal customer, I believe it is essential for all staff members to uphold a standard of professionalism and courtesy towards patrons, especially during interactions as routine as package returns. Regrettably, the behavior exhibited by the attendant failed to meet these expectations.I hope this feedback will be taken constructively to address any shortcomings in customer service training and ensure that future interactions at the USPS branch on 205 Academy Street reflect the high standards of professionalism and assistance that customers deserve.Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hi, just giving everyone an update that our good friend Angela is still working at this USPS location. I witnessed similar things mentioned in other previous comments today from this individual.
