My heart goes out to the poor Walgreens Pharm Tech employees, who are definitely working under slave-like conditions! Management is horrific at both the Cary/Avent Court and Cary/Wrenn Drive locations.
Instead of hiring sufficient people to run the pharmacy, they are stingy, leaving one tech in the pharmacy to run both the drive-thru and front counters.
This results in hour to 90 minute waits for the customers.
It's not the employees' faults. They are working their butts off under duress.
And this wasn't an isolated incident. It's their normal operating model.
Pharmacies earn tons of money. Come on, Walgreens! Do better! Show an ounce of decency and concern for both your employee's and your customers.

I hate to leave this one star review (if not, for this one situation it would be a five-star review) as the following I have on Google reviews. Most likely will not paint this in a positive picture, but here we go. I do a lot of shopping for the company via instacart and doordash and I mean a lot not to mention, my family and myself have been shopping at Walgreens for decades as it's basically across the Street from where I grew up, and I've always had a great experience especially with the customer service and staff! I always thought of them as top notch, especially the crew that seems to be in there right now. EXCEPT The last handful of times I've been in there I.e five or six. There now seems to be a lady working "customer service" named Bridgett who claims to be a manager but will get back to that later. I have managed restaurants as a general manager and executive chef for the better part of my life until recently when I became a single parent and started doing delivery services. So one thing I can say from all that is I definitely know what customer service is or is it and how people should or should not be treated when they're spending their money somewhere. By far Bridget has been the nastiest, rudest, smuggest and unfit for her position. I have never been spoken to in such a manner for asking simple questions. I've never been told by somebody I'm spending money at a place to open my eyes and go look. Today I was made to wait for 15 or 20 minutes for her to unlock a glass case when nobody was at the register and she was just moving a box with some tissue in it. And it's not just me that she is like this too. I've heard her speak to her co-workers this way. How this person is in customer services behind me. I don't ever want to see anybody lose their job, but she definitely should not be in front of people! You will continue to lose customers this way. I mean I'm absolutely stunned! STUNNED!!! I do not know what's happened to this person in her life that makes her think that she can go to a place of employment and treat people and talk to them in this manner. And when I've asked in previous occasions to speak to a manager above her the comment on such behavior. She has told me on multiple occasions that she is the manager and there's no one above her to talk to leaving me with no other option but leaving. I'm very cool and friendly with all the other staff members in there and most of them recognize me and know me by name So I want to keep giving this place a try. But Bridget is making it very difficult to look past her behavior

Cigarettes were for sell in this “healthcare and wellness setting.” setting. I wont be going until Walgreens stops selling cigarette.

wait times ridiculous & they lie about when prescriptions are ready for pick up. Unprofessional. Local pharmacies would never.

This Pharmacy/Drug store is one of my favorites. I always enjoy the shopping experience and the staff. The selection is varied and generally the prices are competitive. I like to shop the sales and build my points.

I came to this Walgreens to take some passport pictures, and the lady that Was working told me that I needed to wait for the other person to arrive and it was going take 20 minutes this is what I call bad service. What should I be waiting 20 minutes? I need them right now.

The older black woman cashier is a racist, especially racist against Asians.I have always had good experiences with other employees; however, all of my Asians friends and I encountered multiple discriminatory treatments from this single employee which made our overall experience memorably unpleasant.It is unacceptable for any one to treat customers with striking disparity based on the color of their skins. I also sent a concerning email to corporate to report my intolerable experiences. Hope the management team take appropriate actions.

Went in for the Lap Corp services, and felt the man working there was rude and unhelpful. I understand dealing with the general public sucks, but I was friendly and just asking simple questions. Didn't need his attitude.

One of the female pharmacists is incredibly rude and insensitive. I've never experienced a situation where I was treated as if I'm inconveniencing a healthcare provider by simply calling to check if a medication was in stock. I'm on a medication that would be considered a specialty product that typically needs to be ordered in advance. It's used to treat PCOS-related inflammation and weight gain. They only had 15 out of the 120 that I would need on hand, and when I asked her if she thought they'd have it on the shelf still for a partial fill the following day, she said "We don't fill this every day and we don't see people on this." Her tone was clearly aggravated, but also judging that I was filling a product commonly used for weight loss. I had called the prior day before my doctor sent the refill, and followed up after my appointment to be sure they received the RX. The first thing she did was tell me that it wasn't in stock and told me that they wouldn't have it until Monday - I had started to say I had called yesterday and spoke to the pharmacist. She cut me off and said "Yeah, I'm aware you spoke to me," and "why can't you wait until Monday?" Clearly she has no empathy, and as a healthcare provider she should not put judgement on people for filling medications, regardless of what she thinks or feels about it. You chose to take a job at Walgreens, if you don't like your job, work somewhere else.

EDIT - I come here regularly (and for the past 4-5 years). This whole year so far, the pharmacists have been commenting on and some even cringing at the price I have to pay for managing chronic illness (type 1 diabetes). PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE STOP!! I KNOW THAT IT IS EXPENSIVE. Just ring me up like a normal customer. I know. How do you ALL not know that managing this disease is expensive?! I miss the pharmacist I wrote my previous review about so much. I know you can see that I have a high deductible plan. If there is an issue with the price I will ask nicely.There is a pharmacist here who is always SO lovely (I cannot remember her name but if you meet her you will know who I am talking about). So so nice and friendly and competent. They testified the store is good but she's the reason I am taking time to write this review. If you need prescriptions filled go here ??
