I didn't have any experience in yoga or meditation before starting classes with Gauri. I have been practicing yoga and meditation with her for a year. I can't even explain completely how she has been guiding to teach balance between mind, body and heart. Her strong background and experience in different teachings are very helpful to understand the concepts. Her approach is based on specifically your needs and your objective from each class. Either you don't have any experience in yoga or you have been practicing for years, I strongly recommend Gauri for yoga and meditation.

"Yoga with Gauri", actually should be called Emotional, Physical, Spiritual and Laughter Therapy with Gauri but that would be way too big name :-)

There are so many wonderful things to say about working with Gauri! Here are 3 things that made a huge impact for me. My 2 college-age daughters and I tried a 2-hour session with Gauri to learn how to relax our muscles and get rid of knots in our body by rolling with therapy massage balls. When we arrived, one of my daughters had a splitting sinus headache. She normally takes sudafed for relief, but we didn't have any with us. Gauri showed her how to use the therapy massage balls to alleviate the pain, and withing 5 to 10 minutes, the headache pain was reduced from level 9 to level 1. Much better than waiting an hour for sudafed to kick in and help. No more sudafed for our sinus headaches! The same daughter with the headache has experienced back pain for years and had a membership at Massage Envy for monthly massages to help alleviate the pain. Working with Gauri and the therapy massage balls was so effective, that my daughter is going to end her Massage Envy membership in order to continue working with Gauri to learn more rolling techniques. Working with Gauri is much more affordable than a massage membership. Better than that, the massage ball therapy gives YOU the power to massage your aches and soreness any time, any place as often as you like. No more waiting for the monthly massage to feel better temporarily. Gauri's techniques give you the power to feel better all the time. Lastly, I have had a problem with muscle tension my entire life. I've never been able to do a proper chest stretch by clasping my hands behind my back without using a towel because my hands just wouldn't meet. I thought I had short arms, but I really just had super tight muscles. Gauri showed me one trick and within seconds I was clasping my hands behind my back and feeling a wonderful stretch. This is something I had assumed I'd never be able to do because of my "short arms." Now I am able to do something I once thought impossible for me, and I feel better about my body. Those "short arms" were really getting me down. :) Working with Gauri has been a life changer for me and my daughters. I am finally becoming comfortable in my body. My daughters LOVED the session and find that the rolling massage is a terrific stress reliever as well as pain reliever. They both had an exam the following day, and the session eased their tension and helped them relax and feel much better. We are telling everybody we know about Gauri and the rolling massage ball therapy.

She has thought me a whole new way to look inside my body or maybe I should say to feel my body. I love the therapy with the balls as well and that has helped me a lot, especially with my knees. The meditation is so so good and I always leave her studio so much better than I arrived, full of positive energy and ready to go back to the "real world".

Gauri is a tremenous yoga instructor. She works with your body and mind to understand and balance them. I had tingling in my upper right shoulder/neck area and after following her stretches for 2 weeks, it is gone. This is more than my massage therapist accomplished. On days when I feel tense, we do restorative yoga and I leave feeling peaceful and energized. I receive personal instruction from her about 2x a month. I know individual classes are more expensive but if you do your "homework," you can get a personalized program designed just for you and I find that it works better than attending group classes. (She also does group classes if that is your preference.) I feel better both in mind and body due to her guidance. I can't recommend her enough!

I am a massage therapist at a very busy spa and have been suffering from back pain and immobility for years and without Gauri I would live my life in pain! I love what yoga does for my body mind and life! Gauri has a masterful way of making you feel comfortable and at the same time challenging you. I couldn't recommend her more highly.
