I usually never have a problem with this pharmacy but I always get the nice gentleman that has always helped. Today I got the VERY rude ladies. After being in the hospital for bad sickness due to be being pregnant and today I got moved to high risk so I was already having a rough day but I was politely asking for helping trying to find 2 of the new meds they want me to try the lady just huffed and rolled her eyes at me wouldn’t even look at the meds I was trying to find and then the other lady just said maybe someone up front can help but no one was up there. I’ve worked in a pharmacy before and I just can’t believe they would act that way to a customer that just needed help.

I recently had to start working with this CVS rather than other ones in Wilmington due to a shortage. The pharmacy staff and retail staff at this store are much nicer than any of the other CVS's in Wilmington. Very helpful, very patient. I am planning on moving all of my prescriptions to this location because I have been very impressed with how I have been treated.

The worst pharmacy I have ever been to in my life. The final straw with this pharmacy: Ignorant pharmacist told me that because my Dr. was online it was illegal to fill the prescription. They have been filling the same script from same Dr. for the last 6 months! The most amazing part was that she decided to tell me this on the day I was supposed to pick it up, so I had to spend that Saturday in the emergency room. When I told pharmacist that I am going to have to go to E.R. she just shrugged and said sorry.Turns out after all that hassle the pharmacist was wrong or lying and once I got script sent to another pharmacy they were able to confirm she was had no clue what she was talking about. The store is great with great nice people it’s just the pharmacy that is unbelievably garbage.

Went to get a script filled was told it was 275.00,asked them if they accepted an RX discount card, was then told 312.50,declined to have it filled and left, went home pulled up pricing online and CVS offered it for 84.50,absolutely poor customer service and gouging, will never do business w CVS again

What lousy attitude at pharmacy, rude, uninterested young ladies. Won’t see me there again, rather drive ten miles and go to Walgreens!

Everyone in this store is always actively working. They do seem short staffed but unfortunately I am sure that is a corporate responsibility. You’re greeted at the door and everyone is helpful. We live in times when everyone expects immediate service, and honestly this is the busiest pharmacy I’ve ever seen. Be kind to those who work there. They obviously wear many hats.

This pharmacy is a joke. After dealing with them for a few months, it seems their MO is to "pretend" that just as you arrived to pick up your prescription, no matter if it was ordered days earlier, they had "just received it and it will be a while before it can be filled. 'Cause, you know, we're just swamped." Even though the place is empty and the drive through has no line. The level of unprofessionalism and callousness is stunning. One particular tech is quite rude, she likes to yell over her colleagues to correct them as they are speaking with patrons. On one particular occasion, my husband decided to wait the 10 mins the tech relayed that they would need to fill a script that had been called in the day before. She yelled over her colleague to my husband that they "are going on break in 10 mins and he'll have to come back later." So the 10 min time was a lie, they had no intention of filling the script in that timeframe. Astonishingly the other tech caved to the screaming colleague, so my husband left. She and the whole sorry group are extra special! We fired this bunch (which was probably what they wanted anyway) and went to Express Scripts for home delivery and auto refills through our insurance company, which is working perfectly. Save yourself the hassle and incompetence of this pharmacy and do the same! Then they will have more time to stand around and do nothing.

I've got to say it! I have been having my prescriptions filled at the Castle Hayne CVS for over 15 years. The people who work in the retail area are great but once you walk up to the gates of the pharmacy the mood of the place changes. I have never seen anyone there smile once they decide to walk up and help you. And once you do get their acknowledgement they act like you are keeping them from something. Like I am annoying them. I never walk from the pharmacy with a good feeling. Its a little concerning how no matter who helps you its always the same. Kind of like they train them to be that way. Which I am sure its not the case. I love the location but I will be transferring my prescriptions to another pharmacy. Avoid this pharmacy unless you like to be punished and walk away with an inferior complex.

Fist thing is this is the 3rd time in two weeks i have had a problem with the pharmacy. my son, wife and myself have had problems getting our prescriptions, first my son had a prescription for his advair inhaler, they said insurance would not cover it and it was almost 100.00 dollars. come to find out insurance needed a 90 day supply and they where trying to fill a 30 day supply. mt wife had to go in after several days of this and the person who she spoke to said ok and took 3 boxes off the shelf, billed it and it was done that easy. why didnt they do it in the first place. seems like it depends on who is helping you. I just had the same this happen. they wanted to put a prescription on a discount card and told me my insurance would not cover it. the price was 97.00 dollars. I got home and looked up ,my plan and it said that insurance would cover a 30 day supply for my medication for a couple of months then i would have to go to the 90 day supply. I called them to explain this and they now said it was wrote for one or two tablets and insurance would not cover two tablets a day. I told them to fill it for one a day then. all the sudden it will go through insurance, and alot less than they wanted on the discount card. my wife was trying to fill a prescription and they contacted a doctor for a refill. the problem was they contacted a doctor that was not my wifes to refil it. All this in the last two weeks. We have found that some of the people working in the pharmacy will take a minute and try to help figure it out. and those individuals can fix things on the spot most of the time, while others just do not even want to try. Sorry attitudes by few makes the whole team look really bad.
