On Sept 10th I had an 4:30 appointment with Jessica T. This appointment was prebooked with Jessica approximately 7 weeks ago. When I arrived, Jessica was working on another client’s hair. It appeared that she had just started, I checked with Jessica to make sure I had an 4:30 appointment and she confirmed I did. Around 5:00 she called up put some color on my roots. This took about 10 or 15 minutes.
For the next 2 hours I sat there and watched Jessica work on someone else’s hair. During this time, she did not say one word to me or explain why I was having to wait. I am not sure why this other client took priority over me. Maybe she was a BFF. Whatever the reason it was unprofessional and rude. Jessica usually completed this service in about one hour. I spent almost 3 hours there, 4:30pm to 7:25pm. I had booked this appointment over 7 weeks ago, got someone to cover my bus duty at school, and rushed to make this appointment. I did not deserve to be treated like this.

I usually don’t leave reviews online but I really hope this review can help others who is not satisfied about their hair. I have been living in Swansboro area since 2012 and I have been to so much hair salons in the area, a lot of them have most of the good reviews. But those salons never get my hair done right. My friend referred me lake Nicole hair salon. I have read other people’s reviews and I finally decided to go with Annette. Today I got my full highlight done along with other service. When she show me the final look, I could believe my eye. My highlight color is done so beautiful, I can’t even believe my hair went so light without frying my hair(I have black hair and I never got my hair color done like this way before). Annette also is so nice and knowledgeable about her work, every step she did, she let me know how that works and why she does this way. She listens to my need and gives me the feedback and her recommendation. That instantly just makes me trust her and makes me so comfortable although this is my first time there. I highly recommend Annette. She is the best.

Madelyn is amazing!! I’m in the midst of relocating to the area from Raleigh and trying to find all new people can be hard, but I’m so glad I finally found a great stylist. She exceeded my expectations and I am so so pleased with the results. Highly highly recommend!!

I went to Lake Nicole on Tuesday, April 1st, Lexi, who is a blonde specialist was my hairdresser. I went to get my prom hair done and i have been going blonde for three years, I had been grown out for 9 months what I was asking for was my hair nine months before which i knew it wasn’t gonna be exactly alike but what i got was nothing close to it I had asked for an icy blonde and was given back a very warm brassy color there are bleed marks all over my head. I had asked for foils to my scalp and there was still a large portion on the top of my head where i could see my roots. I asked for a full foil, not a root smudge or dimensions. As well as there were large brown chunks throughout my head, basically just the surface of my head was mainly touched, not an all the way through. i paid 200$ for this service for it to be nothing like I had asked. I called back the next day and the first girl on the phone was very rude about me asking for it to be redone. saying this like “what’s even wrong with it” and etc. the second girl was a lot nicer i appreciate that. The second time I went I had told her everything i had wanted, again i was met with the same things more bleed marks, the tone was a little more icy but like last time and the time before one shower and all the icy was gone and it was immediately brassy. the biggest thing that got me was when she was blow drying my hair another hairdresser came up to her crap talking a client who had just left her chair and lexi my hairdresser was making comment back that felt very targeted to me their conversation was about a woman who had complained about her hair. comments were made like “you’ll never be able to get some peoples hair right” and “ they don’t understand i was just doing what they asked like, hunny.” i would not come back here and it’s ridiculous with the service i was given i might be a 17 year old girl but i am a customer. i give respect to all my elders and expect it back as well. i tried to attach photos but it would not let me.

Pay Attention Men!!! This place is not just for women. After 30 years of Marine Corps haircuts, it was time to grown my hair out, but I still wanted it close on the sides. ANNETTE is AMAZING!! She takes the time to study your style, head shape, and listen to how you want your hair to look. I have been her client now for 3 months and go to her every 3 weeks! My hair keeps getting better every time! I trust her so much, I even let her put highlights in my hair!

Annette is hands down the best, especially for blonde hair! She is so good at what she does, she listens to what you want, she explains everything to you, and is so fun to talk to. She uses different techniques based on your hair needs; she is so knowledgeable! I always leave her chair in love with my hair and refreshed from such a lovely time talking to her.

Annette did an ahhhhmazing job on my hair! She explained everything she was doing and why she was doing it. She was honest in what she thought was best for my skin pigment and facial structure! I was getting bored with my hair and wasn’t sure what to do with it, so she ran with it and did such a great job! Highly recommend her and will be going back!!

Annette is the absolute best! I met her when she was working at the salon on base and when I wanted to go back for my next appointment she wasn’t there anymore. So I literally tracked her down through the base Facebook page 😂 the rest is history! No one does color like her and she cuts your hair perfectly no matter what texture your hair is! I wish I still lived close enough for her to do my.hair!!

Nikki. Gave me the best haircut I’ve had in years. Came home with it wet and it dried in the air almost perfectly. A little blow drying and perfection!!! Love, love, love it!!!!!

Annette is the best hair stylist I have ever been to. Not only is she so knowledgeable about hair but also about life. Love talking to her while I’m in her chair. Since going to her my hair has never been so healthy and she has mastered a lived-in blonde. Also so grateful for the many recommendations on hair products. I would recommend annette to anyone! I’ll add in before and after pics.

ANNETTE!!! She is absolutely incredible. She did my hair down in FL for two years and I always left feeling like a 10/10. She always explained to me what she was going to be doing and why… I LOVED this about her!!! Most stylists don’t go out of their way to make sure you know what’s actually happening with your hair.
She’s extremely comforting, professional and takes your hair health seriously. I really wish I could give her more than 5 stars. I recommended everyone I know to her, and I almost moved with her to North Carolina!! Lol
