“I was on vacation in mid November in Morehead City, N.C., and had an axle break on my 15 year old galvanized boat trailer. I called several boat dealers in the area and was told the trailer was mot worth fixing, because of it’s age, and all the additional rust on the underside of the frame. The prices I was quoted for a replacement trailer averaged $6,500. The only person I spoke with that gave me a price below $5,000 was Ski at Holland car and boat sales in Newport along Hwy 24 just west of Morehead City. It was refreshing to deal with someone who didn’t try to rake me over the coals because I was from out of state and was desperate. Ski hooked me up, and I bought a new Venture aluminum trailer with the stainless steel package for at least $1,500 less than anyone else. He also has the largest selection I’ve ever seen.
