They are great! We didn't have to wait, they promote a healthy diet above pumping your animal with medications, and they follow up.

This vet clinic is the best. I stay in elizabethtown my cat had a broke leg and the vets in town told me $1,200 to amputate and charged me $350 just for X Ray's. The vet was also rude and said if I couldn't afford it to take him to the pound and they would just euthanize him. My friend told me about this clinic and I am so greatful I went. The vet in Cerro Gorda told me $300 to amputate but he suggested that he thought my cats leg would heal fine . It did he is living his best life with all 4 legs and I couldn't be anymore thankflul for the office being so helpful and considerate. This happened in 2018. I recommend this office to anyone searching i feel like he actually cared about my cat unlike the vet offices I had been to before.

Having always had dogs, and having lived all over the country, I must say that while taking your pup to the vet is never something that is enjoyable. But the people here are always professional, courteous, and kind. Dr. Burroughs is top notch, and I highly recommend his practice.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I was absolutely stunned by the lack of concern and care that was demonstrated today. If I could post the video I had recorded during my “visit” it would be posted for everyone to view. I adopted a 5 month old Great Dane from the Columbus County Sheriff’s animal protective services just yesterday. He was in bad shape, but not as bad as we realized. This morning I took him to our vet, who stated he wouldn’t make it through the day. He has a severe case of round worms and tested positive for parvo. My vet took all precautions and followed their protocols to keep everyone safe and prevent spread in their office while keeping us comfortable while Columbus County animal services was contacted. Columbus county was beyond helpful, they immediately called their vet on call and let them know that we had a serious case and a dog that needed immediate IV or subcutaneous fluids upon arrival. Columbus county had me transport doggo directly after speaking with both vets. I drove the hour to Cerro Gordo to this office, Columbus Veterinary Clinic, where I’m made to sit in the car for near two hours. Patiently I wait. I ask for water for doggo. It’s 90 degrees and the middle of the day. And doggo is in my car literally dying. And they know this. He vomits and starts to fall to the floorboard. I panic and scoop him up, assuming the vet will help, we’ve been waiting. This is serious. Dogs and other patients are coming and going. I’m confused. I call Columbus county and they are also confused as to why we aren’t being seen. I’m left in the dark still so I attempt to return inside to find out why we are being made to sit outside, my dog is dying, what is the plan of action here. I’m told bc he is assumed to be sick that he cannot come in. WHAT? WHY AM I HERE? I of course become upset and advocate for my dog as I would my child. This is insane. A very young man with quite the attitude comes outside and tells me that he will not allow me to see the doctor, that I’m not a patient or a priority, shoves a paper at me with other hospital listings located hours away. I state that I just want help for my dog, that this is a God d**** joke, why was I sent here? He becomes infuriated and tells me to leave immediately, that he will not tolerate the “GD word.” I tell him that I find that surprising, considering he can tolerate this dog dying on their stoop, technically exposing every dog coming in and out of their facility. Because apparently the cement out front is better for “quarantine” than a kennel or room to treat him in. Nonsense. My car was covered in vomit, my dog was dying, and we were an hour from our home vet with what seemed to be no hope for care. Thankfully Columbus county sent a deputy and transported us to a CARING facility who immediately helped doggo. We never expected to be a priority, we simply expected to be treated humanely. And that is something you simply won’t receive at this office. Period. Not unless son in law is fired and office staff is trained to actually care. I cannot speak to the doctor, he spoke maybe 2 words AFTER the deputies arrived. Find somewhere better.I see they also advertise ear cropping and declawing…disgusting.

Vet does a great job with my Shih Tzu and the prices are reasonable and affordable. He does a good job of educating pet owners about caring for their pets. I've never had a long wait to get an appointment or a long wait in the lobby. I recommend them to anyone looking for a vet in the area.
